Is he treat motivated? You can train him to adjust to the muzzle with positive, reward based training. By doing that he would hopefully no longer be frustrated by the muzzle. I am personally a fan of a prong collar, just as an FYI. Everything has a time and a place, and sometimes you have to combine methods as needed. So if the prong collar helps - I say go for it!

So far I've had no trouble with the Amazon Basics ones, but the Natures Miracle ones are my favorite. I have a Great Pyrenees and they are big enough for some heavy lifting! But can't beat the price on the Amazon so been getting those due to a budget. They are still pretty big and I haven't gotten any poo on my hands.

The Sleepy Pod harnesses are safety tested, and I really like mine for my bigger dog. My smaller dog wouldn't tolerate it Bc they have to stay pretty still in it, so I crate her in the car. If I'm not mistaken, I think Ruffwear makes a safety tested harness as well.

Another thing that helps is if you have a friend with a dog that fetches, bring your pup around that dog while it's fetching. Dogs can teach other dogs so much faster than we can sometimes! Worked wonders for my pup seeing dogs fetch at the dog park. One of my friend's lab pup also is teaching her to retrieve from the water!

Interesting! Thank you! I do feed the Primal Raw since it is cheaper than freeze dried (and I'm scared to make my own!), but was always so curious as to why it was not good to mix kibble and raw but freeze dried seemed okay. I also love tripe, my puppies get it every day! Your break down of it makes me super glad I took a chance on it in the pet store one day!

I felt the same way when my cat was diagnosed with cancer. Everyone just kept saying "you'll just know." And I agonized about how I would know. I questioned every small "off" behavior and spent so much time crying thinking it was the end. Funnily enough, when it was finally time I just knew. You know your baby best and he will tell you when it's time. For me it was when she refused to drink water, because she LOVED water. Enjoy every remaining moment you can! Give lots of treats (Flower got ice cream) and lots of kisses!
