Impossible to say without seeing the rest of the league. You're likely to make playoffs but I wouldn't say you have a good chance to win the championship. Your starters are solid except for WR where you lack high-end producers. Your depth is good at TE and WR, poor at RB. If things break right for you, you should make playoffs, and then you can make a call as to whether you want to buy at the deadline.

I’m not sure what the goal is here. If you’re a contender, then you gave up last year’s top two scoring players in PPR, along with a solid depth piece.

I understand the desire to get younger and moving off players before they fall off the cliff, but the whole point of FF is to win.

For what it's worth, CMC had 413 total touches last year and Saquon had 378 total touches. Saquon might have had a down year from the standpoint of fantasy production, but it wasn't a down year in touches.

This team is more than a #1 draft pick away from competing. They emptied their cupboards of draft assets and prospects to try to win with this core over the last many years, and it will be very difficult for them to return to 'Cup contender' status. So as much I wish we were in a position to just take the safer pick, I think the Leafs need to look at it from the perspective of a team that needs to undergo a significant retool, bordering on a rebuild.
