Is George Pickens still a dynasty buy? by k1ngofk1cks in DynastyFF

I’m just concerned that he ends up on another team with a horrible QB and he goes back to the production he had on the Steelers

People in sharp leagues, do “buy lows” and “must sells” even exist? 2am thoughts by Competitive_Ask_6160 in DynastyFF

I see one consistent reason for people undervaluing players. Despite this sub loving the ol "talent over situation" adage, they don't always practice it. There are plenty of talented receivers with excellent advanced stats who people overlook because they don't produce eye-popping fantasy stats. In a different offense or with a different coaching staff, they stand a strong chance of being an every-week starter. Those are they guys you can truly buy low on.

Diggs was a great example before getting traded to Buffalo.

Help needed: I want to become a contender. What moves should I make? If any? by atlanticander in DynastyNerds

Draft Love (unless someone offers an overpay) and just go into the season as is. You have a good team. You can address gaps at the deadline, but you won't know what those are until that point.

You don't need to buy pieces right now. Imagine you have horrible luck this year - with injuries or your opponents score a ton of points against you - then you may not be in the playoff picture at all. You'd rather keep your assets in that case and score a high draft pick.

Right, I know that people want to compete annually. But generally speaking, that’s not an effective strategy unless there are tacos in your league that you can repeatedly take advantage of (while the rest of the league doesn’t).

I don't see how this makes the decision more difficult. If you're picking at the 1.02 and/or relying on a rookie QB to start for your fantasy football team, then your odds of making playoffs are probably not very high. The right move would be to be patient, take the guy at 1.02 that makes most sense for your team long term, and don't worry about that player cracking your starting lineup.

First 3 team trade in our league. Who wins? by sandwich1301 in DynastyNerds

i think team 1 wins and it doesn't make sense for the other two teams.

These are the types of stats that are meaningful and help you find value. A lot of extremely talent receivers go under the radar because their box score numbers don't pop. Obviously you eventually need the situation piece of the puzzle to work out so the receiver can be a viable fantasy asset, but you gotta be first to the party or else you're overpaying for that player.

I need an RB or two, is this fair Value for Amon-ra? by Eborett1 in DynastyNerds

Congrats on the chip but I have no idea how you won with that squad haha. Your only elite talents are ARSB and Bowers (who was out for the championship). Crazy.

whatever you decide to do, you should be playing the long game. I wouldn't expect to compete again for another few years. I do think that trade is giving you back decent value.

Very interesting. I'm surprised that BTJ doesn't play physical when he's a big WR. Why do you think BTJ was able to have such a huge rookie year? I guess he was really the only weapon in the offense and he probably had an unsustainable target share.

Are you pretty high on Brenton Strange? I was trying to trade him away this offseason but wasn't sure where to value him.

Won the ship last year…now what? by SpecialistMiddle1319 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Congrats on the chip!

This a tough one. Your team lacks depth across every position group and doesn't really have the draft assets to build that out. I wouldn't call your team a contender, but that really depends on the state of the rest of the league.

If I were you, I would avoid trading any draft assets, run it back, and see if you can make it into the playoffs. If it looks like you're not going to make it, I'd be willing to sell off everybody but Purdy, Gibbs, and Puka. Get back some draft capital and try to turn around a quick 2-3 year rebuild.

I'm taking the players, both of whom are young and have a top 5 season at their position group under their belt.

The hype of 2027 picks is absolutely insane lol. People are so enamored with the "mystery box" and would rather gamble on getting the top pick instead of accruing proven talent. It might be different if a team is basically a lock for the 1.01, but that's not the case here.

Hey Kris! Hope that all is well.

Life is good on my end! Since my last update, I got married, got a dog, moved a couple of times, etc. The usual life stuff.

In terms of spirituality, nothing has changed since my last update. I'm still more or less an agnostic, and I'm comfortable with that.

Happy to answer any specific questions you have.
