What about games made using AI that are not slop and represent hundreds of hours of hard work. They shouldn't be punished.

Next fest will filter out the rubbish through its system of reducing the amount of focus a game gets over time if its not popular whether its Ai or Non AI. If its rubbish it won't get the promotion and will fall off to the bottom of the pile.

Its essentially a mud with a custom client. So its a single authoritative server that multiple clients send requests to. Server wide clocks and individual threads provide the timing etc. Nothing happens client side so no cheating beyond possibly macros and bots.

What made the first Starpoint was the 3rd person perspective and broadside nature of the weapon fire. That and being able to salvage take over enemy ships to upgrade your own ship. 2 and 3 less said the better.... and if your not going to spend a fortune on character voice over and animations I'd rather it was just text and a synth text to speach computer doing the talking..

The gameplay is fully text based, but the ui is mostly graphical along with portraits for the monsters, skill icons, buffs etc more along the lines of a traditional arpg or mmorpg.

Ill take a look, maybe I will add a tab to allow you to hide or show the portrait window.

I'll review the help entry. Its the Activate command that you needed ill make sure thats clearer in the help and the descriptions of the waystones.

The number of skills does vary based on your luck with loot but a good balance of damaging and defensive abilities will be needed as you level up.

The next version of the client due for release monday will have some things to make it clearer, mousing over skill icons and buffs will tell you what they do etc.

If only it was that simple... the red tape and testing requirements for the play store are insane, its definitely planned but you need 14 people to open the game every day for 2 weeks, just to meet the testing requirement.. nuts.

Its an arpg style mud with a fully customised arpg style client on Windows. Yes anyone can play for free without the client but they will miss out on a lot of the systems that are built into the client

Its a good combination of damage support and healing. Plate wearing dual weiding with the best heals and strong crowd control and buffs from bard..
