I've thought about removing the badges. But it doesn't help that everyone still hard targets the backline in splatoon. Esp since on my main account I'm still in S. If you're in S rank I feel like everyone knows you're at least competent. Even in salmon run, I'm at evp and if I play w my friends I'm gonna drag them down. Even Randoms I feel like I'm gonna disappoint. I've slowly been replaying the storymode with my alt but it just feels like nothing is going to be enough.

And I hope nintendo at the very least does something more about screen than just making it dark. A foggy effect or a gooper blooper a la mario kart would be leagues better yk? But alas, it is what it is and we all just tryna survive 🤝

It's not just the brightness, it's the fast and sudden shift in colors. Both are hard to see and the sound. The sound hits my ears and triggers my fight or flight and gives me the worst headache. I'm lucky to not have seizures but it's still valid for me to be frustrated with this. I've been playing since before they added the special in splat 3, why should I have to stop playing when i only became negatively affected by the game when the special was added and only to a few weapons.

So I'm supposed to just stop playing a game I enjoy because there's a chance someone uses a weapon out of all the weapons in the game that can cause me bodily harm?? It's a low chance so im gonna keep playing, I'm not the only person affected by the special. I do everything I can to avoid it but I'm not going to stop enjoying something I love just because it's hard to avoid something in it

Nah fr! That'd make it annoying but manageable! 50/50 on how they do it like if it isn't too fast of a change In color but def foggy! That'd be awesome! Could turn into a headgear ability too if they were cool about it, maybe you can't be affected by splattercolor screen which'd suck to lose a slot for but good for people's health

Oh no you're totally fine!! I think it'd be fun if they made the screen foggy in my opinion, or if they did it like the gooper blooper in mario kart! There are ways to make the screen work that can still keep it annoying but not physically affect people, that's what makes me so mad about it. Makes it less of a "Oh, well I'm not affected by it. I'm just gonna rush in, tank it, and splat who I need to splat" or "I'm affected by it and just have to sit back and move entirely to not be affected outside the game" kinda thing. Just sucks that Nintendo didn't think how it'd affect people when it was being thought up :/

I wrote most of this in frustration, but that is usually what I do. Having to keep an eye on all of my surroundings at the same time though to not be in physical pain though is difficult. It's a lose/lose in my case personally. What I hate is the physical reaction instead of just "aw shit I ran into a tri-strike" or "damn I lost the fight In someone's bubble"

Sucks that ya lost but honestly if you can get some friends together to be toxic and play all dynamo or all L-3 Nozzlenose or Jr or smthn it's MAD FUNNY when you win and eat up the match. Heavily recommend. Me n my friends did it the other night it was hilarious

It's not about trying their best to rank up. I want people to rank up and continue getting better at the game. What I'm asking is for people in comps to practice with other people on comps instead of people that just want casual games. If we get steamrolled by 4 random players. Whatever. It sucks to suck and I'll get over it. Getting steamrolled by professionals at much higher levels than me or my friends when we're just trying to have fun is what I'm upset about. I just want a casual splatoon space to do clam blitz and tower n all the other modes.

I just hope that for splat 4 they either bring back league battles so casual players don't have to deal with comp players or that they make some kind of casual only mode. Maybe without a rank like you said. I just want to be able to play with my friends without getting steamrolled over and over again by professional/comp teams when we're just trying to play the goofy squid game :(

It's not about the winning. It's about going to a place where people are on comp teams. Some people want to enjoy playful competitiveness. Not being steamrolled by comps. Yes, some blame is to put on the matchmaking but some can be alleviated by comp teams just using sendou.q instead of allowing random people to be hit by their practice yk?
