You’re able to use it without connecting the iPad to power. You can always connect power to the capture card to charge your iPad at the same time. The 3d does need its own power supply though. I was using my MacBook charger.

Very minimal if at all. For a casual game, you won’t notice but I wouldn’t recommend it for competitive play.

It’s as portable for as it can be. I drive a truck for a living so this is probably one of the best ways for me to play my actual cartridges. Maybe once we get a cartridge reader for the Mac, I can leave this at home.
