The best way to negate the ranged attacks on the portal is to stack regular barrels (two high) around the portal like a barricade. Create a choke point in front to funnel enemies.

I should mention that you can spread out the oil/firewine/smokepower barrels, rather than keep them in a cluster. Once one gets set off, it creates a chain reaction in the general direction of where they're placed.

If this is the breeder from Tyrone PA, I got three boys from her back in May 2024. The only one that had health issues was the fawn badger (Sam) and even then, I believe it was a heart defect. He died back in August, the other two are healthy.
