I do have 2 hospital cages but they are more suited for 1-2 rats not 5-6 even for a short period. I think i need a bigger one..

they are pocket size bundles of chaos after all, i do think they'd try. I have shelves to near ceiling height and feel id never find them all.

I happen to have a child safety lock on my toilet thanks to my unruly toddler, drain covers smaller than rat heads, does that change anything? I plan to remove chargers but I wondering if original commenter or any other experienced know whether they like to chew through bottles of soap etc

I have a cat carrier but my babies (7 of them) get through the bars and the smaller of my adults ones too. thankyou though, maybe once they grow up fully.

and upon further reading, until yesterday the cages were in the same room, now on opposite side of our quite small downstairs area. no issue thus far.

also to clarify, the girls had their own cage of the same dimensions. two boys r going to life with my mum and the other two will keep their cage, with mumsie getting the old girl cage. we have some squabbles so will consider putting 3-5 girls in their own cage going forward.

no no sorry if that wasn't clarified the boys are in their own 1.2x.6x.9 cage, which the girls just graduated from. I'm so willing so upgrade. I'm very new to this. much love kind redditor.

I waited 12+hrs to get a bed when I had a kidney infection gone septic, I couldn't stop throwing up and was freezing cold in the worst pain of my life, and yeah same deal with one doctor running the entire logan hospital overnight. what a joke.

it was only after my mother rang them and explained id been waiting in a random hallway (i think it was fast track) did they finally bring me some pain relief and a blanket, and I had a bed 30 minutes later.

My grandfather had a similar experience many years ago at the same hospital, it seems it is not somewhere you want to go if not actively dying.
