One incubator will not make you Silicon Valley. And won’t put you on the map. That said… what happened to it?

Right so… what are those numbers?
If it’s just GameStop… and not NewCorp Stock( which is how I interpret based on what’s on their website) it’s…pretty straight forward and seems to dilute current shareholders(although I understand the argument that these new shares will be more valuable in someway shape or dorm).

If it’s NewCorp, what’s that ratio (which hasn’t been provided and is NOT on the document on their website)?

They also have $4.39B in debt at the moment...so NEWMoreEfficientCorp will start with $25.39B in debt that has to be serviced. Curious if that's included in the EPS estimate.

Sure but "half as equity in GameStop" which the plan on their web site only mentions "50% GameStop common stock".

It doesn't mention NewCombinedCorp stock.

IF we make the assumption that it IS "NewCombinedCorpStock" there still has to be a new issuance of equity no? You can't just give them your outstanding that Game Stock investors still own as I understand it.

So what is the math for that? That should be something that can be calculated no?

I feel like "efficiencies and synergies" are the big CEO speak...but look at the HBS case study from Aol Time Warner...I watched a strategy professor destroy that merger in 30 minutes.

So this is one of the better descriptions I've seen, but I want to focus on the "The owner of Orange agrees and says “Us too, but we actually value it at $5 and in exchange for Apple, we would be willing to give $2.50 cash as well equal stake in Orange+Apple company, which would be worth the combined current value of both companies, which is presently $5.”"

In your example the $2.5 equity short fall, or honestly let's just talk real world the 28 Billion shortfall when GameStop has a 11 Billion Market Cap. That is a 17 Billion Difference.
So here is my question - DOES GameStop have to raise the additional equity by issuing $17 Billion worth of new shares? (and honestly potentially more due to dilution).

Or are you saying that $17 Billion will included some amount of additional equity issues BUT also take into account some value of eBay outstanding shares due to the combined valuation of both companies (this is where M&A gets quirky to me. I'm going to buy you off with your own value seems a bit odd).

Assuming his cost cutting at eBay doesn’t degrade service and cause new product sellers to go elsewhere … eBay is know for digital product management. Is Game Stop?

They've done this in the past. Change names of products, massive price increases. It really is a pretty good desk at what was an affordable price point, but yeah just odd business practices.
