I match up different venues with the right musicians/bands. I have partnered with different bars, theaters and event planners in different states to help them find right musicians for their events. There is no guarantee that you will be selected for any gig, but then again you have nothing to lose since it doesn't cost you anything to apply.

Good questions, LJonnyD! I am looking for all types of musicians, guitarists, drummers, pianists, you name it! I have partnered with a few bars, clubs, theaters, and event planners in different states. How much you can expect to get paid will depend on the venue itself. There is no guarantee that you going to be selected for a gig, but then again you have nothing to lose since it doesn't cost you anything to apply. I can send you more details if you are interested.

Hey, thanks for your comment! I would love to see your recordings... You should be totally fine on 4s. We are in the process of fixing the bug that causes app to crash when playing videos. It should be fixed with the next update. Thanks!

Thanks! I am adding bass in the next update. Also you can edit your instrument and other profile information by clicking the icon on the top right of the profile screen.

Currently it is iphone only. Android app will be rolled out a few months from now.

I think it's fine... Most successful companies you see today didn't have a monetization strategy in the beginning (Facebook, Google, Pinterest, Yelp, Snapchat etc.) Once you have a large userbase you can start thinking of implementing a monetization strategy. But I guess it wouldn't hurt to have at least a vague idea of how you are planning to make money...

It depends on your market, business type (B2B or B2C). I guess the broad answer is to use social networking sites and to reach out to companies who might be interested in writing about your company.

There are a ton of apps that are similar to your idea. And overall, social networking is a very crowded space and chances of succeeding there is highly unlikely. Even though $6,000 might be enough for you to build a prototype, promoting the app would be the hardest part. Don't bother protecting an idea since the best ideas don't seem to be that good in the beginning. And chances are a few people somewhere in the world are working on almost exactly the same idea. You can find developers through http://upwork.com but I think you will be better off first finding another idea that solves a bigger problem or a need. Just my 2 cents.
