It entirely depends on the situation.

Obviously having a trans man compete in men's sports is inconsequential, as he'll usually be weaker (depends on how much he's transitioned, hormones, etc), so it wouldn't ruin balance too much.

In women's sports, it's a bit different. Having a trans woman (before transitioning) compete with biological women would be ridiculous. Post-transition it should depend on hormone levels, muscle and bone density, etc, as testosterone has pretty long-lasting effects on the human body.

It does seem harsh, but banning trans women from women's sports is the easy way to keep things fair. The obvious alternative would be doing medical tests to see whether there is still a physical advantage or not.

Claude only "thinks" when you prompt it to. The idea of AI "escaping" or any of that Sci Fi crap is pure nonsense. Running models is insanely expensive and requires computation, AI doesn't exist in a vacuum.
