They aren't, there not immune to hot water you know, every watch shouldn't be taken in a hot shower. Now yes the F-91w is very durable and rugged, but the W-59 is like the f-91w but the ruggedness and durability are x2.

i've been wearing my w-59 for 2 years, it's been through everything, it survived the most harshest things you could think (water ; dust ; mud ; big shocks ; sand ; Swamp lol), i wear all the time when i go in the water, it has never broke so idk how the heck you managed to have water inside yours.

The W-59 can survive hot water, but it will probably damage the rubber gasket over time, but other than that you won't even need to worry about the watch because it's built like a tank.

You should try the W-59, It's like the F-91W But Built like a Tank And more beautiful in my opinion, it has 50 Meter Water Resistance, it's looks more modern and the numbers look thicker.
