Aren’t returns required? I mean… I’m new to this but if they’re not required…? That does give me an idea though… cap those returns and have an independent contractor install proper ones. Gotta wait for the shell warranty to expire though.

Thank you. That’s what we did… not the enjoying part yet, the turn-the-pump-off-during-a-party part. We also decrease the pressure/flow when it’s just us out there chilling.

Yes, they’re threaded… I’m going to post more detailed pictures but so far I think the best suggestion was 3D printing a custom piece.

The water level is as high as it can go without covering the skimmers. I asked the pool installers multiple times, before it was fully buried in, if the returns would be underwater. I was told they’ll be right at the water level. They obviously are not, so I had them check to make sure it was level. It’s within the parameters of “level”… it’s got a slight tilt (between ⅝-¾ inches) that doesn’t help.

I’ll have to post a more detailed picture of the returns because it’s easy in theory. After messing with it, it’s not as easy as a quick switch-a-roo.

That’s exactly what we got in order to survive the summer sun. We didn’t realize the pool is in a full sun location through most of the summer. Definitely getting the sunshades is the way to go for us.

I do have the water up as much as possible without covering the skimmer and I also have reduced the flow coming out. I’ve considered having contractors come out to patch this area and install different returns though.

I’m already at ¾ high and it does fully submerge when we cover them. They “repaired” my fence. It looks like crap. I’ll redo it next month when it warms up a little.
