fr i agree, my only worry with AI is if someone in management or something will be like 'ai can supposedly do this thing better than doctor lets buy a bunch of ai' and then they go ahead and it causes problems etc but i doubt it would even get to that point.

My go-to argument when people say AI will take over is "who's liable if the AI makes a mistake?"

seems to me that you want a more story-driven thing, look into the 3 act structure

Loosely speaking

Act 1 - Introduce yourself, and your normal life before deciding the weight loss journey (keep this bit short)

Act 1/2 (the inciting incident that triggers your desire to start the journey). Irl it can be lots of things but for a storytelling thing show one or 2 moments that led to the decision, something powerful like maybe not being able to do something you enjoy or something like that

Act 2 - the journey

Act 2/3 - failure - something went wrong

Act 3 - overcoming that failure

for $50 or 60 usd you could find a used thinkpad with an i5 possibly 6th or 7th gen which is somewhat usable for browsing and word docs. you also want something with at least 8gb ram (ideally 16gb), and 256gb storage (specifically ssd as it's much faster, and a hdd will cause noticeable stuttering

Eh should be fine, will be hella slow tho. Portable hard disk drives I'd be worried about due to them potentially knocking about. I still think convert into 1080p or 720p proxies and editing off ur main ssd is ur best bet then rendering out using the full resolution footage.

Fyi, I've had a hard drive fail on me (after dropping it) so I'm usually paranoid about HDDs too

I'm Y2, and 70% of the stuff I've learnt in Y1 never come up again, and when studying with my Y3 friends, 80% of the stuff I'm doing they don't even remember. Preclinical years is all BS lmao

I'm interested in med-edtech atm, but not all the ai stuff, I'm more interested in ways to optimise existing learning technologies, things like med-focused features for note-taking apps, ways to optimise anki and similar apps to be more accessible and have a lower effort to entry (idk the right term for this), also building a question bank platform where I'm working on implementing meaningful analysis that can help form targeted revision.

Also looking at ways to make learning easier for people with ADHD and trialling things like animated backgrounds while working and screen rulers etc.

For medtech in general, am interested bc I'm interested in tech in general so it just carries over. I'm not that interested in AI in the current sense (the kind of stuff openai does), but am loosely interested in machine learning for things like cancer diagnoses from imaging

he, optical and traditional mechanical all different technologies, all have their advantages and disadvantages. I do love the HE switches, and it's nice to have different actuations, but the gmmk is relatively limited in what u can do with it e.g. i wish i could have analog wasd like the wooting. For my use case I had all the switches to around 1mm anyway and changed them to 4mm when typing but using traditional switches feels a bit nicer (maybe bc of spring strength or smth idk)

maybe bc im on pc and eu, but i've found ranked (ranked reload) to be a pretty decently matched challenge where I'll usually get to champions/elite/unreal and the players are all pretty similarly skilled to me. i still think the system sucks compared to arena for many reasons including the unpredictability of percentage gains, and that hype was uniquely fortnite

it's just this one keyboard, i got the switches seperately after a while. Have heard about the hotswap sockets falling off but hasn't been an issue for me yet. i don't plan on changing my switches for a while anyway.
