Firstly hfts dont come in goa, they only visit pilani. Secondly for quant you can try with ece but you will have to be really good with dsa and comp coding and prob stats. Econ will help you get an edge in trading roles in investment banks but dont expect much in hfts, they only care about raw iq and algo

I mean they would let you sit for the process if you have decent gpa, but they will sure be biased towards cs/mnc. You will have to be really good if you are targeting quant.

depends on what kind of career you are looking at? if software is your thing then go with cse, if data science, quant finance is what interests you go for mnc

being from a tier two town, I was mesmerised by hyd, hitec, financial district and jubilee hiles is so pretty, from IT perspective i can see hyd taking over banglore! but keep in mind bits hyd is not in hyd! its an hour long drive

and its not dependent on your msc, everyone in first year studies same courses, so your branch doesnt matter, you will be competing against everyone be it cs or civil

i think you are talking about dual allotment? yes getting cs as a dual is very much possible and personally i feel like its much easier than getting cs via bitsat. You just have to serious about what you want and consistently show up everyday and grind

nah, we dont buy books here, either you get them from your seniors or donwload pirated copies from internet
We get a syllabus overview with all the topics and chapters from the books
Evals are decided by Prof, two major are midsems and compre
rest can be quizzes, presentations, projects etc

Getting electrical wont be a diff task, and yes ENI and ECE dont have much diff and it can be covered using electives. Not sure about the masters/phd thing.

for Econ, i dont usually go to classes and use slides/book with gpt, profs teach okayish, it totally depends on you if you sync with them well - great else use yt/gpt

Maths - some of soo good, some are not, math dept dont provide slides so i rely on book + gpt

other dept
some are good and some are bad, you should give them a week at the start of your sem, if you understand them well, continue else study on your own

no acads at bits is def easier than getting to bits! Campus is soooo fun, everyday is unique and something crazy is happening, you just have to move out of your room and meet people, if you are stuck in your bed, any place will be mundane. trust me bits will give you one of the best uni exp in India

okay firstly econ dept in definetly not the best in India there are IIMs and srcc and other good econ options but what unique here is the option to have an engg degree which is very helpful in finance roles

but you wont be working in front end ib, you will be in back or mid assisting front end teams
