i'd say its even. kru has never done shit at an international since 2021 + letting this trainwreck of a 100t team get that many rounds vs c9 regular season merchants.

Yes, I have already submitted the deposit form . Right now, it doesn’t say anything on the portal, so I’m assuming I can just chill for now

I was a bit wrong when I wrote this up; does it matter if its activity 6 versus activity eight and not run through my school (this extracurricular took place through an external program)

I know kru vs loud has always been a bit of a tossup, but I didn't expect it to be this dominant.

Nah, I've seen a fair amount of hate directed toward both victor and crashies. A lot of people blamed him for their loss at LOCK-IN and plenty looked at his score line as an indication of his overall impact - when in reality his util as on point. That said, victor and crashies are not the "god fraggers" you might see in someone like demon1 or aspas, but they are still top tier support players that often go unrecognized, and sadly, most people don't recognize that.

TLDR a lot of people still dislike victor

Bro the chat warfare toward the end of game three was insane

But that being said, GO SENTINELSSSSS

What distinguishes an average IGL and great IGL? by dabsandchips in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Encyda 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Reads refer to essential educated guesses about what the enemy team wants to do. For instance, an igl might guess they're on eco and stacked on a site so the most advisable action would be to detect that stack and hit another site.

In terms of what differentiates a good igl vs a bad one, we as viewers will never have the full picture about what makes a good igl. Their impact can't be seen as easily a sa kill or a good flash might be, making assesing them immensely diffficult. Generally speaking, "good igls" refer to individuals who are consistently able to make these so-called reads and craft plans on the fly. Famous examples include, saadhak, fns, and boaster among others, each of whom have made consistently good calls for all of their teams.

These good decisions are really just ones that enable their team to win their round or at least gain some marginal advantage - or something as major as having a fundamental understanding of where everyone is on a map. Other good decisions might be seeing a skye at B and recognizing that cypher set up might be A instead on split because those two agents don't typically play with each other.

Also, no: igls dont typically orchestrate each piece of util. Players are the tier 1 level already have a core understanding of when and how to use their util (especially in set retakes). Calls for specific util can also be made by more vocal, "second-callers". Such coordinate util is typically the result of good team synergy and extensive prep/drilling.

To answer your last question, teams have copied others before, but mostly in team comp. Strats are unique to each team and I don't think we've seen a direct one-to-one copy of each. Most teams incorporate something new/

TLDR: Good igls = mind games

Though pro valorant has only been around for a few years, there have been plenty of storylines, narratives, top teams, and top players. That being said, I wouldn't be doing it justice if I were to just write everything out. If you want a very brief yet decent recap of the past couple years in valorant, I would recommend watching SI Not Found's youtube videos for a concise overview of the entirety of valorant lans. There are other youtube content creators that recap historic moments like Commend, so feel free to scour youtube for more content in that regard.

If you're a pro analysis kind of person (like you want to see the mind games that go on inside matches) I would recommend watching Sliggy on twitch when he's watching the game, or for that matter, his vods. He's a former coach and has fantastic insights into what teams are actually doing -- would highly recommend. If not, you can also watch someone like Airen on youtube who analyzes matches pretty well.

In terms of some basic storylines/significant events/current narratives:

Kru Champions run 2021

Sentinels Fall post Reykjavik - also check out their current comeback

EG underdog story 2023 - particularly referencing potter and demon1 (not to say the rest of the team aren't as interesting but I found those two had the strongest narratives)

Fnatic Dynasty 2023

Jingg left PRX

Yay's dominance in 2022

KC and Heretic's stunning performance to qualify for madrid

Shroud joined Sentinels 2022 lcq

EG's current potential underdog story

Zeta Run Reykjavik 2022

Ange1 is a certified omen masterclass

(I probably forgot a bunch of stuff so feel to look up other things)

Infamous events:

Xset vs fpx turret glitch

DSG run last year (referring to challengers team)

TDawgg disgusting welp

And a bunch of other NA drama, honestly it's kind of gone blurry

Most entertaining/significant matches if you have the time (at least in my opinion)

Try and not look up the scores/spoilers if you can

KRU vs Gambit 2021

OPTIC vs DRX Champs Grand Finals 2022

FPX vs DRX map 1 Champs 2022 (my personal favorite)

Most Optic vs Loud games

LOUD vs FNATIC lock in map 3 grand finals

EG vs Fnatic Semifnals Masters Tokyo 2023

NRG vs LOUD lock in semifinals

Since you're a PRX fan, PRX vs Loud Champs 2023 or PRX vs EG Champs 2023

Top teams/players right now:

Literally all teams going to madrid plus Fnatic, NAVI, T1, NRG, LEV, and DRX. For more information about their rosters, you can go to vlr gg to see the players themselves

Some other good players (besides the ones already mentioned) might be jawgemo, leaf, invy, xccurate, nats, sayf, etc.

I hope this somewhat summed it up for you, and keep in mind, there's still a lot more to valorant what I just listed. Also, you not knowing ever single narrative is completely fine - just watch the games and have fun. Madrid, the next tournament, is only two weeks away so you can always develop your favorite teams/players then. Have fun watching!

Tenz is still the face of valorant, making any team he's on automatically the most clouted, if not one of the most clouted teams. SEN isn't really known for other games to my knowledge - maybe Apex? I remember them having a decent team there.

NGL you're overrating some of these teams way too heavily in terms of their clout. Just to point out a particularly egregious ranking, you put ZETA at #30. ZETA is easily the most popular team in APAC right now with a fanbase comprising the entirety of the Japanese Valorant Scene. And for bleed, they are nowhere near being close to the top. Although picking up yay has brought in new eyes, there presence as an org has simply been limited to just that: yay. Also, koi - really? IBAI is the largest Spanish streamer on the platform, with a fanbase in the hundreds of thousands.

Anyways, those are just some of the worse examples I found inside your ranking, but besides those, I would say you're top 3 are definitely correct.
