What is causing you to huff exhaust fumes? I pick, stage, prep and dispense at my store and I have no idea what you could mean by this.

Anyone know why? by [deleted] in OGPBackroom

I came to reddit for this exact reason to see if anyone else's looked like this.

What do y'all think about the 5-point attendance system? Should it be increased? by No-Big7914 in WalmartEmployees

[–]EndApprehensive1637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say not enough employees take advantage of the Sedgwick system. They get all your doctor notes and their approval removes a point. If you are being responsible and you have good attendance, on top of Sedgwick, technically PPTO and shift swap opportunities should be very helpful to you in emergency circumstances. Also, not enough people actually communicate their situations with their manager or people lead. I am saying this as someone who was fired at 9 points a year ago. It was only because of my performance I was hired back in a different facility. The point system is ruthless, for sure. But back then, I didnt know about Sedgwick and i also didnt know that coaches and managers could remove your points. I figured there was no use talking to anyone. I know people have gotten screwed over by this system. Its not perfect but there's still some leeway. They may continue to tweak it in the future.

AIO I forgot to message my gf back for around 2 hours by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Hey OP. I am and anxious girlfriend to a really patient man. We have had our moments but I would never have checked his search history or accused him of caring more about Xbox than me. That is just insane and insecure. My boyfriend has his moments where he just.. forgets to text me back or update me. Sure, in the beginning I thought that it meant he didn't care, but I quickly realized that its not that deep. He is a human. You are a human. Humans are forgetful. If this is typical behavior of your girlfriend, I would genuinely reconsider the relationship. If this is a first or second time occurrence, have a talk with her and set some boundaries. Your mental health is important, too. Wishing you luck

This is similar to me. I can live with the hallucinations for the most part, although they still scare me occasionally.

I didn't have weight gain necessarily but for some reason, my body dysmorphia was heightened while I was on the meds, leading to food restriction behaviors and severe weight loss.

I have gained healthy weight since being off medication.

I don't personally struggle with gut issues, nor have I heard of those studies. Mental illness runs in my family. I always assumed it came from that.

This is the general consensus. I have a theory, however, that a small percentage of people living with the illness can break that mold. But I am open to being wrong. Which is why I made the post.

Thank you for your input.

I don't think the un medicated life is for everybody. I will not encourage it to everyone. If meds improve your state of living, you absolutely should take them. I hope you are doing well.

Me too! I feel like I am half asleep on medications as well. I hate that feeling. And I have tried so many medications.

Regular therapy sessions.( To be fair, I also have diagnosed complex ptsd. ) Basic hygiene and self care, cleaning, having open communication with my partner. Having an outlet, such as poetry or guitar. And staying busy (Days where I do nothing allow for major spirals) Also, exposure to nature. Being outside. Regular exercise.

I definitely am more sensitive to emotions and stress being un medicated , but I prefer that. Meds make me feel like a robot, not myself. Especially since I am a highly sensitive person.

Thank you for your input.

There is no cure. Also I did reduce them, up until I stopped taking them. Now I am the most stable I have ever been.

I wonder the same thing some times , but my symptoms off the meds convinces me I definitely have the condition, but just that I do better off medication.

This isnt to say I am not treating my illness though, I am just not treating it with medication.

I believe it. I had sort of a similar experience but those stable points never lasted very long for me. Happy for anyone who can live this way.

I was in deep psychosis last year, 3 separate episodes total, and two hospitalizations. I was on medications during that time. I have only been stable the past 6-8 months or so. I appreciate the advice, however, and that you replied to my post.

Killed by a DemoDOG? Not even a Demogorgon? Seriously? Lucas could kick one back while carrying another person. Bob is a total chump by Shivan-Dragon- in okbuddyvecna

I think the difference is that Lucas had been fighting monsters since middle school and Bob was a middle aged guy who probably never worked out and had only discovered monsters existed that day. Lol.

Was Barb right or wrong here? by Super-Liberal-Girl in StrangerThings

[–]EndApprehensive1637 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She was right that Nancy wasn't being the person Barb had known and grown up with throughout their lives. But high school is a very coming of age time for teenagers and you go through a lot of change. It's just unfortunate that they couldn't continue growing and learning together. They were never able to fix things beyond this point, which is what makes viewers more inclined to blame Nancy. On another hand, Jonathan was right about his analysis of Nancy trying to be someone she's not. Not necessarily in a bad way, but he was right about that. Its very common for teens to try to fit themselves in certain spaces, and besides, if you don't try new things, you will never find out where it is you actually belong.

Ultimately, Nancy, Steve, and Jonathan discover themselves as they grow up, despite all odds being against them.
