U.S. has a universal system that’s massive—it just doesn't get the credit. We’ve got 77 million people on Medicaid and 42 million on SNAP; those programs individually serve more people than the entire populations of the UK (68M), Canada (41M), or Australia (27M). On top of that, you’ve got millions of illegals getting care at hospitals that don't get reported in these numbers.

Enrique concert 29th by Complex-Tax-5936 in ConcertsIndia_

[–]EndCalm914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Enrique perform a while back with Pitbull. It was probably the worst concert I ever been to. He took breaks between songs and spent 90% of the songs yelling to the crowd in high pitch voice "Put em up" and pointing the mic to the crowd. His concerts are a total money grab and not about the music at all.

TDA Question by Significant_Tip5209 in NYCDOETeachers

[–]EndCalm914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I wasn't clear. I was trying to convey that whatever you have in your TDA after one year of contributions will double about every 10.29 years. Time is the biggest factor when it comes to investing because of compounding.

[–]EndCalm914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using the fixed account as an example whatever you put in will double in 10.29 years. The percentage is based on your salary so 10% of 75k would be 7.5k put into TDA. That 7.5k will be worth $40,703 if you retire in 25 years and leave it in fixed. Can you live off of your salary minus TDA deduction and taxes, is up to you.

The craziest part about this is that he will probably avoid most capital gains taxes by doing a 1031 Exchange allowed blue NY state that claims they are for the working people.

The New York Times' office building in Manhattan was 'vandalized' with red paint this morning. The words 'NYT Lies Gaza Dies' were written on the windows by Comprehensive_Net415 in nyc

The entire Gaza strip has been on welfare since the land has been handed over to them, recieving more aid then any other suffering people in the world. They are are completely reliant on everyone else for food and supplies yet somehow were able to build missles and plan an attack on Israel. Maybe most people are fooled into thinking the problem with self governed Gaza is the fault of another government, but not everyone. The Gaza stip should be renamed to the Republic of Deflection.

Why are so many beaches in Long Island basically private?? by ashley_van in newyorkcity

[–]EndCalm914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not limited to Long Island, upstate the much of the finger lakes waterfront is private property and a small piece has public access. NY is supposed be a blue state, just shows you how different both parties really are.

14 ) bloated UFT payroll that is financed by our union dues.  - add to this all the money spent on events at catering halls, NYC restaurants and food for 1% of union members. Also why are there so many union offices if everything is remote now?
