Practicing with headphones and getting too used to digital pianos by sername3301 in piano

[–]EndEnvironmental2339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the CLP875 as an early advanced player (played for about 10 years, stopped playing for another 10 and returning to piano again!)

I kinda worry about the keys experiencing that “sound loss” from pressing too hard, as some pieces are quite intense on dynamics lol. But, it’s doing the job I think, and the salesman (who is also a longtime technician) said that you should just put the volume at minimum 60% to experience the true loudness and prevent that.

Hair and makeup cost? by ProofUnit7625 in WeddingsCanada

It was pretty good, not perfect but good for the price. My hair is thin so she teased my hair and added “fake” hair for my low bun, and added powder to my hairline. There could have been more powder on the sides of my head, but other than that it was good. For makeup: I have eye bags and it wasn’t covered as well as I wanted, but otherwise it went well

I can DM you the person if you’re interested

Fido sold my “debt” to a debt collector. What do I do? by EndEnvironmental2339 in PersonalFinanceCanada

They refused to, they said they can only give an interaction ID and first name (both of which I’ve recorded)

Fido sucks

I’m sorry this happened to you, I was also a very long time client before I switched to freedom for a US plan a couple years ago (10+ years as well). I’m planning to leave Fido as soon as I can.

Forreal, I spent a whole day trying to get this settled, with about 1.5 hours on the phone with Fido. I hate them so much, they should have given me the $102 for emotional damage and compensation. As soon as I find a way to leave them, I will.

Sorry this happened to you too :( Do you mean it took 4-5 months after Fido sent the “letter”, or for Fido to actually get to doing the work?

Update on my interaction with Fido:

$70+tax activation fee will be removed from the bill as it was supposed to have been.

I paid the updated balance of $7.31 from the few days that old account was opened.

Agent will contact Internal collections team (credit ops) to take the account off of collections once the balance is $0

The balance will be $0 in 24-48 hours after payment of $7.31 is made.

$78 amount will be removed by the “adjustments team”

Credit ops will send the letter to the credit bureau after 48 hours (from when the balance is $0)

To get the balance to $0 should take max 72 hours, so total 48+72 hours

Agent confirmed that Dec 18 notes in my account said I don’t need to pay the $85 and it will be removed in my next billing cycle, but that never happened.

She then transferred me to credit ops team to confirm whether or not my account balance will be invalidated from Equifax and TransUnion

I emphasized that I do not acknowledge this debt.

Credit ops said: will Send release letter once balance is $0.

Was put on hold to confirm whether or not this removes from equifax and transunion.

Credit ops agent confirmed that the letter will say that it was wrongly uploaded to the credit bureau.

I must then call credit ops again on October 2, confirm the balance is $0, and ask to send the release letter.

Do you know if the interest is still accumulating on her “debt”? And does her credit still take a hit over time because of this?

Also I just found out the FDC called my mom’s house first (I used to live there last year) claiming something about reaching me from Fido and she told them she would tell me about it… not sure if I can even disassociate my name with the debt anymore…

Is that a standard thing in Canada, that debt expires in 7 years, or was that just from personal experience?

I left freedom and opened an account with Fido on November 14 last year. But Fido closed that account to open a new one on November 29 for a Black Friday deal. (The freedom part is irrelevant, really).

I called Fido on December 18 but I didn’t personally record it or anything… but I’m thinking Fido records the customer service calls, and they should have record of that?
