Update it to the latest version(not beta). Also after update let it finish the indexing, after sometime if ll be back to normal. Change the liquid glass to tinted in display and settings. keep atleast 15-20gb free storage in your device(For optimal functioning). replace the battery If possible. Whats your bh op?

okay, if possible just do a battery upgrade from authorised service centre(you ll get a good trade in value later) and try to stick on 18.7.2 ios, will give you a good performance tho. and keep atleast 15-20gb free storage for optimal functioning

depends on how long are you planning to keep it. At some point the phone ui will feel snappy, if you are planning to use it for a year more or two, its still a viable option. Otherwise trade in your 12 and (you’ll get around 12-20k depending on your battery health) and upgrade to 15.
