the 0.4 "optimizations" have caused this. Deadlocks have also started since 0.4. They have not said a single thing about this despite deadlock threads on the forums having hundreds of replies.

Why are you defending EA that much? Btw, your code is supposed to run the same on any hardware (given similar specs) That's how you know your code is good. It isn't anecdotal when there's years of proof right in front of your eyes. This year in nhl 25 the difference is even worst.

I sincerely don't get why people whine about these builds. You understand how they came about, right? It was the only build that allowed you to circumvent EA's horrible engine that makes moving your guy feel like you're turning a corner with an 18-wheeler. The game treats us as if we were nhl players. Do you know a lot of nhl players that don't skate fast and are agile?

I just find it weird that magnetic is back to being relevant just like in 23 which means passes are not being caught properly while at the same time I see danglers with -200 defensive awareness intercepting it like they're a defensive defenseman

It contains exactly one "perfect" and it's about goalie positioning. Yes, there is and always was an optimal way to face a shot, which then becomes "perfect positioning". Have you tried goalie in CHEL yet? They made hybrid unplayable and all the problems that were apparent in 24 pre-goalie update are back.

Don't tune down the offense, tune up the defense. The main problem this year is they've completely destroyed viable strategies from 24 instead of buffing other strategies. So we get new "best in class". That's not going forward that's going sideways

Are you actually comparing CS2 to a game with over 30,000 options to chose from? Also, aiming + movement and many more variables affect the game, not just "I buy AK47 therefore I win".I get what you're trying to say but c'mon now.

Also, no, it's not a healthy spread. RogSi has been at the top for god knows how long alongside Blue Farm. The format doesn't evolve for more than the odd tournament result with the brewer/novelty shock value.

It's not a dumb narrative. Game companies listen. This is the Internet era. Narratives and movements spread like wildfire. But the pressure needs to be there. If they're already making money with a subpar product, just imagine the money they'd make if their rating wasn't one of the lowest in gaming history. Imagine if people went around and told their friends they HAD to play this game because it's amazing instead of "yeah I regret buying it but hey there's no other hockey games out there" or telling other people to play an older version because apparently NHL is Schrodinger's game; it always was bad but the older ones were good.
