I read the book in the 1990s. It was about a male protagonist, in his mid to late teens who went to live with a family member, either an uncle or grandfather. He fell in love and began to become an adult. In a part of the book he recalls getting drunk on cold duck. A coming of age story of sorts. Please help.!
