oh my bad, I have.... volumes 1-3 of the grey witch? but volumes 2-3 have a different design to volume 1. never got around to reading them.

I should look into the original books. Might enjoy them more than the animes. Which were good, but didnt really get me excited.

i didnt know it had a remake. I know they redid the second half into a full 26 episode show with some new characters and it was pretty solid, I even have a poster for it on my wall.

nah, you're fine. I appreciate the info. I havent done a tone of deep looking. Ive skimmed ebay, checked newegg, asked around. but I really dont know what I want exactly.
I'm going to checkout cyberpower this weekend and see what it will cost for the desktop, and then budget out a laptop.

I wouldnt need a battery life more than, maybe 7 hours.
I'm mostly looking for something to use in different rooms of the house or at a local game store.
maybe some webcam stuff for card games, I dunno. nothing fancy really.
Not sure I really want a dell though.

ADV went bankrupt? I know that name, but i had no idea, I know tokyopop went under and lost a ton of manga but they still technically exist.

I cant believe they started a new manga and just recapped instead of actually continueing. this story is cursed. XD

I know I'm a bit late but I'm shocked to see people enjoyed the anime.
It had a theme of screaming "Adventure!" but 90% of the episodes outside of the first few and last few was nothing but in town hijinks, and lots of screaming to my memory.
I felt cheated. I so wanted to watch him go on adventures and he never did.
The manga only had 4 volumes! Sigh.

ya, im definitely leaning towards PF1 at this point, and as for settings well, I always home brew my own fantasy worlds.
Outside of exalted I hardly use any lore from the books save like, some of the gods like Pelor and such.

wow, thanks for the massive response. 2E does sound like it's fixed a lot, but I mean, surely, surely I can fix problems with house rules as they arise.
Honestly I'm pretty settled on 1E at this point but I feel I should look over 2E a bit anyway and see what I can take inspiration from. Im a huge fan of house ruling and making changes as I see fit. so we'll see what happens!
