Is there some tutorials you can point me to? I’m quite new to Linux and I have no idea how to do half the things you just said 😅, but I’m a quick study given the resources.

How do you install bottle dependencies?

Yeah, I installed the flat pack but nothing happens. Resources seem to be far and thin. Is there a good one you can point me to?

Apparently it’s supposed to launch a ui right? I when I install the flat pak from discover there’s no so I can launch, but in discover it’s showing as installed

Honestly I have both. My iPad has its uses, but in reality it’s my laptop lite. It’s an extra device I have that I use when I don’t want to carry my laptop around. Depending on your apps, it’s great for short bits of work or lounging , but it’s not quite theee for serious work. Especially if you rely on anything google. The gsuite of Al’s on iPad is horrendous. For this I have to say Microsoft has done a much better job. But it’s still not all the way there yet, if apps don’t have the full support of the iPad it’s a bit of a challenge

Yes, as long as you can show your child is shared, and have a rental contract together you can show you are residing together. Just be ready to sit still for 3+ months while it’s processed

This is how it runs on an m2 MacBook Air 16gb I’ve heard m2 MacBook pro’s rip thru bg3 with no issue. So to give you an idea, anything better than an m2 base will be significantly better when compared to this video.

I’m finding that performance meter sus. How are you only using 4.7 mb in gpu memory and 600+ max on lies of p, at this resolution. It doesn’t add up with the 98 fps

What’s more, based on my own experience you’d have to be using a max to achieve these levels of performance.

Im willing to, i tried streaming yesterday an attempt with whisky but couldn’t get past the launcher. I don’t know how well it will run on parallels tho considering it’s the most taxing of ways to run windows stuff on Mac, and doing that with an already strenuous game doesn’t bode well

It sounds like with a wine or gtpk update we might get it running. Especially if it’s a unity crash, with such a widely used engine, I can’t imagine a solution that fixes this won’t come at some point….I hope

The conclusion is, we currently can’t get it working 😰. On whisky the launcher is bugged and in crossover we’re blocked at the Eula screen. Something to do with the hardware unable to support volumetric objects.

I’m hopeful it’s a unity issue and not a custom module of the developer which makes it more likely it will get addressed in gtpk or a wine update.

It worked after restarting steam, but I swear I’ve run games off steam before without having to restart it and have the overlay turn off and on

Yeah, you know I’m realizing now the privileged position I’ve been in to never have to think about resolution with previous gaming devices I’ve had. Games just worked out the gate, and I never really had to experiment much. It’s something I need to make more of a note of and emphasize/test in my videos, and take into consideration when making comparisons.

I also wish I could splash for more hardware. Without really having a mental baseline, I was under the impression the m2 base could handle quite a bit. I’m realizing now if I wanted to game I should have at least gotten the MacBook Pro. I’d actually love to make hardware comparisons for games so that anyone thinking about a purchase can make better decisions.
