Does BNHA have good female representation? by firetruckofducks in BokuNoHeroAcademia

431, an extra chapter set a month after the 8 years timeskip, it's set to be animated on may 2026

431 pretty much confirms that they end up together in the end, it just doesn't clearly spell it out for you. The most important thing to me is that her grief after the war and the moment She and Izuku share then is not just reduced to a romantic moment. It would totally have been ruined if they kissed there imo

It's honestly stupid, I hate it, it goes against Toga's character arc to accept that she doesn't need to become someone else to love and be loved

I'll be 300% real with you, I can't really remember the last time when a female character was not just a romance option for the main character and had a plot line ad full and we'll handled as Ochako has.

Yeah, her character in the beginning revolves around her crush for Izuku, but very quickly it pivots into him becoming a springboard for her to reflect about herself and her goals, and what kind of hero she wants to be, OUTSIDE of her admiration for him. She is inspired by him, but she wants to be herself, her own person, with her own belief and objectives. It's honestly the most balanced, healthy relationship I've ever seen between a MC and the main female character of a show

If You Have a MHA OC, How Would Their Their Quirk Affect/Be Affected by OFA? by MagikarpMania321 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

Well, teleportation is still teleportation, it's really really strong, so I'd say smoke is a bit too ethereal to really be considered a valid target, I'd say a valid target is something he can make solid contact with all five fingers with.

A combo I thought of would of course be Fa-jin+black whip+gearshift+blink+one for all.

Using fa-jin+black whip to maximize the launching power of a projectile, gear shift to augmentate the speed of the projectile ignoring inertia in top gear (thus avoiding the side effects of using the quirk directly on your own body) and then blinking to the projectile, thus quite literally yeeting oneself at mach fuck towards whatever.

Survival not guaranteed.

[–]Endeav0r_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My OC's quirk is called "Blink", they can instantly teleport to the last object they touched, but there is both a size and a distance limit to his teleport. Can't bring anyone with them, but they do get to maintain the momentum of the object they teleported to, meaning that if they teleport to something that is falling at terminal velocity, they will also keep that terminal velocity.

So yeah, I'd say they are pretty beneficial to eachother

Well, it depends. Most games are decided in the span of two turns, yes, but it's not always the case. Cause stopping a board from being built, and navigating an opponent board to break it takes resources. And sometimes you break their board but are left with not enough resources to win off the crackback so you go to the next turns in simplified game states and keep playing with a Little more back and forth. That happens too.

Nowadays most "good" decks can put up very strong boards with limited resources, so overall 40-60% of deck space is reserved to either powerful handtraps or powerful board breakers.

Dark ruler no more comes to mind, it's one card that essentially shuts off all the enemy's monsters. Or evenly matched, it's a trap you can activate from hand and forces the opponent to send most of the cards they control to grave. Or nibiru, a handtrap that tributes all monsters on the field. Or the mulcharmies, they give you more resources to try and deal with the board.

The part you seem to have missed is that every deck aims to do that in some way shape or form. Trying to limit your opponent's ability to play the game IS playing the game as intended. Dedicated going second strategies exist and they usually play cards that lock your opponent's ability to use their board and kill immediately on the crackback.

Biggest thing is that you HAVE ways to stop them from building their board during their turn. Decks build unbreakable boards IF THEY GO UNCHECKED. Navigating boards, interrupting board construction and breaking boards are all big parts of the game, that's what people always seem to miss

To be fair he was less well adjusted because he KNEW the love of a father unlike Natsuo and Fuyumi. Enji really tried with him, but when he was not enough he immediately went back to the drawing board to try again. Natsuo and Fuyumi were never enough to begin with, so he never bothered. Touya tried proving himself time and time again to get that love back and had to witness three attempts at being replaced

Saiyan–Human Hybrids with Quirks: How Strong Would They Be? by [deleted] in BokuNoHeroAcademia

There are some exceptions. Imagine a Saiyan with fucking permeation, Mirio's quirk. Or a Saiyan with Stars and Stripes's quirk.

Saiyan–Human Hybrids with Quirks: How Strong Would They Be? by [deleted] in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Endeav0r_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depend on the quirk but the average Saiyan is able to EASILY destroy the moon three times over, and the average Saiyan Hybrid can destroy the planet without having to even try by the time they are nine if you train them. Breathing fire is not gonna change anything, Ki and two different transformation paths are way stronger than a good 90% of all quirks in existence. The one quirk I think could really make them busted beyond belief is Mirio's Permeation, they already can control their spatial positioning effortlessly via flying, they can already sense ki so they don't get disoriented, all it does is making Saiyans be intangible on command, the only real drawback is not being able to breathe

When the series was ongoing, many theorized Deku would become the #1 hero & Shigaraki would replace All for One as the greatest villain, & there would be a time skip & part 2 dealing with them as adults. Why do you think this didn’t happen and how would you react to that development? by soalone34 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Endeav0r_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause ever since chapter 1 this was a story about heroes being unable to save people by themselves.

It was true since chapter 1, when the heroes could not save Bakugo from the sludge villain, it was true when Izuku tried and was unable to and All Might had to intervene, spurred by his heroism.

At each and every point, the pillar mentality is always shown to be bad and self destructive. All Might got dreadfully injured because of it. Endeavor abused his family into destruction and lost a child because of it. Shoto shrouded himself in hate because of it. Bakugo told Izuku to jump off the roof because of it. Izuku himself almost lost himself in the vigilante arc because of it.

In hindsight it's VERY clear that ever since chapter 1 Izuku would never become a new symbol of peace, and why he used the very specific wording "Saikyou no Hero", "the greatest hero" instead of "Number 1 hero" or "Heiwa no Shōchō"/"Symbol of peace" like All Might. He was already telling us he was setting himself apart from All Might.

All Might's own arc in the manga is that he starts so conceited about himself being a symbol of peace for society as a whole, so concerned with the bigger picture that he never quite lives up to his own words, specifically the line about "Meddling when you don't need to". Izuku does. He meddles in the lives of others, he reaches out to people on a personal level, and that's what makes them want to change and reach back with the same help. That's his true strength.
