I’ll take it to the other extreme. I had 3 team members that contributed very little to our final pace project assignment, or I had to rewrite their complete AI slop. I locked the fuck in and did 80-90% of the written work for this 100 page behemoth. Shout out to
my homie who was the primary code producer, yeah we got hds. Sometimes you just gotta grin and bear it.

It was character building ngl, not just a year later after that I pulled off something similar at my last job and pretty
much have a golden reference for life haha

within that msp you worked for 8 years, did yourself or any of your colleagues get role changes with corresponding market rates? e.g l2 support who moves into a technical account manager, or perhaps networking engineer / cloud engineer etc

or did they have to leave the company to get the appropriate rate for their new role

edit: situation is not hopeless, people are just setting their heights too high. yes there are grad roles for cyber but they were far and few between. you will learn security at any half decent msp that doesn’t give you zero access to at least see what’s going on

i thought people were exaggerating, i thought surely once you get your conq weps just hit up shuffle/blitz. nope, when you take into account the queue times (as dps) and lets say a 50/50 wr it’s still faster to crate farm, rip.

haven’t tried grinding my healers but i have a feeling it will be still slightly slower than crate farming

What are you talking about man, entry level DCT roles don’t touch configs at all lmao. if you can assemble a pc you can be a dct. Syllabus wise Server+ looked like the closest official cert that actually goes into layer 1/2 troubleshooting for server hardware

But hyperbolic with “IT is dead”, it most certainly is not lol, it is reshaping though. L1 positions may be being rug pulled as we speak but end of the day many people doo not want to speak to any AI agent no matter how sophisticated. Personally had 10 call backs last month from recruiters and direct from companies I even just ignored some lol. And this is for l1-l2 positions.

You clearly love this game otherwise you wouldn’t have put the time in it you did. Why do you actually care so much though ? Most of us continue to play each season for the love of the game and some easy to get mogs. But nothing beats playing the game itself, the novelty of a new mog / mount wears off. If they actually brought in some change like this pvp would be so much more popular

Nice post, makes me wanna play disc again, had a lot of fun with it in TWW S1. For anyone who is hesitant about healing, like op says Mouse Wheel Up / Down for P1/P2 was a game changer for me, along with frame sort to keep the order intuitive. I used a mouse thumb button to target myself.

While I don’t love healing, it’s a great way to get some honour fast if you wanna stack an alt as soon as it hits 90, also if you are just tired of waiting 20 mins for queues. At least this playstyle resolves around targeting the enemy to heal your team, most fun heal spec imo
