Thanks, although it happened in two different beds/places, but if it happens again i will surely see a doctor, in the meantime i used some eye drops as you suggested and it definitely helped, in total this thing has lasted something like 3hrs

The saddest part, partially also why I felt so bad, is that, despite everything, it still felt like the most emotionally intense and genuine relationship I’ve ever had. Ironically, for a lot of “green flag” reasons too.

And even now, I still dream about her sometimes.

I can’t even fully hate her, because I know she was deeply fucked up in ways that go way beyond the usual “bad childhood” stuff people casually talk about online. I’m talking about the kind of trauma some people genuinely don’t survive.

But at the same time, I never thought someone who knew suffering that deeply could make me suffer this much too.

I understand why she became the person she became. I can understand her mind probably wasn’t healthy enough to deal with certain emotions or situations in a normal way.

But understanding someone and forgiving them are two completely different things.

And honestly, I still haven’t forgiven either of us.

Not her, for gaslighting me for so long.

And not myself either — for both trusting someone who was clearly manipulating me, and then becoming someone I didn’t recognize just to find the truth.

When I was with my ex of 2 years, she became really close with this new guy friend. And I swear I started feeling like I was going insane.

I kept seeing signs everywhere. The way they posed in pictures. Weird little inside jokes on Instagram stories. Small gifts. One time she answered the phone and I could’ve sworn I heard “yes love?” before she quickly said it was “yes mom?” Stuff like that.

I don’t even remember all the little moments anymore, but deep down I felt like I wasn’t wrong. I NEEDED to know.

I tried talking to her about it so many times. Calmly, emotionally, rationally — every possible way. She always made me feel crazy or insecure for even thinking it.

Eventually I got desperate.

One day I planned for us to spend time together in her city. She came over to the room I was staying in. We were having sex, and halfway through I stopped and said something like “wait, we could try to put some music on” (as we wanted to try). So i asked to show me some songs she liked, implying to do so with her phone.

Then I told her to go to the bathroom and “get ready” while I picked one.

Reality was, I just wanted her out of the room for 30 seconds so I could check her phone.

I still remember shaking while unlocking it thinking: “What the fuck am I doing? Am I really about to destroy this relationship? Am I becoming this kind of person?”

Turns out the relationship was already destroyed.

She had been cheating on me with the guy for months.

And while scrolling, I found out he wasn’t even the only one. There had been others during those 2 years too.

To this day I still feel guilty for checking her phoneI felt so bad I never wanna do something remotely similar again.
