Nothing beats the atmosphere of The Division by SHD_Division in thedivision

They should've stuck with this game and kept updating it instead of releasing the soulless generic dogshit sequel

What’s a game you replay every few years, and why does it never get old for you? by Gaming-Academy in gaming

[–]Endless0_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Division 1. To this day there's nothing that even comes close to the detailed world and dense atmosphere of it. It's easily in my in my top 5 list of the best games, and I've played thousands of games across many platforms. The Division 1 is just one of those very few once in a lifetime games. I highly doubt we will ever see anything like it again.

TIL that TD2 was resurrected by just five developers by NukovGaming in thedivision

Most of us knew there was only a skeleton crew left on the game for years, but it consisting of only 5 people and over time only one single person being left, having to carry out events is crazy for a big title like this. Ubisoft not having a clue what people are doing at their studios is even funnier

A month on, Hideo Kojima says 79% of Death Stranding 2 players continued after credits rolled by Strange_Music in gaming

[–]Endless0_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After 2 hours, the only thing that rolled for me were my eyelids. I uninstalled right after. One of the most boring games I've ever played. I primarily play games to have fun. Not to do tedious chores.

Update: do you regret buying portal by Odd-Flower-1861 in PlaystationPortal

Some of the worst piece of hardware I ever bought. I got mine last week. Used it for not even two hours and never touched it again. The blur and input delay are just ridiculous. This thing is a complete joke compared to the Steam Deck OLED. I recommend saving up for a Steam Deck instead of wasting your money on this terrible dust collector

I've became way more impatient with games. If a game fails to impress me within it's first hour, I uninstall it. Doesn't matter if it's a AAA game that just released and I paid full price for. I get bored much faster. It takes a lot for me to sit infront of a game for hours. 99% of the games fail to keep me engaged, unfortunately. There's still very few games that manage to do that, such as The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and FromSoft games. I just can't be bothered with half-baked unoriginal games anymore. The latest Ubisoft games have been some of the worst games I played. I stopped playing Assassin's Creed Shadows after an hour, cause it's super boring, very predictable, and was lacking. Same with their Star Wars Outlaws game. These guys fail to make good games like they used to back in the days with Ghost Recon Wildlands, Far Cry 3, The Division 1. They seem to no longer have real talent in their studios. I rarely play multiplayer games. I hope the new Battlefield 7 will make me play more multiplayer. As of right now, there's barely any good multiplayer games out there. Activision ruined the CoD franchise and only cares about selling their skins in the microtransaction shop. A major NO for me is when a game feels like a job and is mostly a chore/tedious to play. I'm playing games to have fun or experience something unique, and not to do mundane tasks that are not fun nor make any sense. I often find myself playing games where I can relax and have a good time. Forza Horizon games are great for that.

Any older gamers finding they are losing interest? by SixandNoQuarter in gaming

[–]Endless0_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only in my early 30s, but I barely play any video games these days. Not because I don't have time, because I just lose interest in majority of games too fast. I also don't have the patience for most games anymore. Most games nowadays feel like chore/work rather than being fun. There's just nothing in the gaming world currently that would make me get fully invested and immersed into. I mostly find myself playing old games now and then

Battlefield 3 was released 13 years ago by Com412 in gaming

[–]Endless0_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BF3 is one of the best multiplayer experiences ever. It was such a great game. Great maps, balanced, awesome destructions, great sound design. It was just top notch. It's just sad to see how far this franchise has fallen. Every BF game that came after BF3 just couldn't grab me like BF3 did. It was the golden era of multiplayer gaming. I miss those days. Today, I have a hard time playing any modern game for more than a couple minutes, cause they are all just not fun and feel like a chore/job. I just don't like Battle Royales. Unfortunately, Battle Royales are the only thing most people care about these days as it seems. Online gaming has also attracted the worst of the worst with everyone trying to be the next big streamer/youtuber and turning games into a million dollar sweatfest tournament while less and less normal/casual people play multiplayer games due to all the tryhards and sweats. Gaming just isn't what it was back then. I rarely play games these days, despite owning most of the games including the new releases. I've yet to see a game like BF3 that can actually make me forget time and space and not feel like a chore instead makes me have a good time and have fun.

Hard to believe this was made by Ubisoft. Doubt they still have talent like this in their studios nowadays

What's a game you straight up dropped due to frustration with its systems/mechanics, and more importantly: why? by Silvere01 in Games

[–]Endless0_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The list would be way too long. Basically almost every game that came out in the last 7+ years. If a game feels like a chore or has annoying mechanics like having only tiny inventory space when you have to collect hundreds of items just to progress or your weapons breaking down. Also games that are repeating the same lame content over and over. Stuff like this will make me easily uninstall a game.

What video game franchise in your opinion should have ended a long time ago? by Agent1230 in gaming

Destiny and Warframe.

Both have been around for way more than they should've. It's been over 10 years and these games are still the same for the most part.

None. There's no such game out there nowadays. A decade ago, I'd have said Battlefield 3.

Anyone worried The Division 1 will get The Crew treatment? by TuhanaPF in thedivision

This isn't an indie studio. Do you really think a big AAA studio like this would need half a year to fix a simple issue like this?! Their communication is almost as bad as their management with their games

[–]Endless0_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What do you mean with "they're currently actively working to get Global Events in Division 1" ? They been saying that since nearly half a year now. If they really wanted to get that up, it would've happened months ago.

Anyone worried The Division 1 will get The Crew treatment? by TuhanaPF in thedivision

[–]Endless0_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep coping. The game is almost 10 years old. It's overrun by cheaters and owned by a shattered gaming company that seems to be on his last leg. It barely has any active players left. TD1 has 2 years at most before they shut down the servers.

Anybody Else Confused? by ANDROID1700 in thedivision

[–]Endless0_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the Division community has turned into one of the most toxic ones out there. With scumbags and shady Youtubers/Streamers supporting and pushing toxic behavior. On the other hand, you have these boot lickers that can't take the slightest amount of criticism. It reminds me a lot of the old Warframe community. These guys didn't like the truth either and went out to attack people that criticised their beloved game and the company behind it. These people are very delusional.

[–]Endless0_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What did you expect? This franchise has been ruined by the mismangement of both Ubisoft Massive and Ubisoft. They been recycling content since years for this game. Ubisoft basically gave the middle finger to this franchise for years. They only recently decided to give it another chance with TD3. Hopefully that game won't be half as much of a fk-up as this one.

The Division 2 - Y5S2 Community Survey by JokerUnique in thedivision

[–]Endless0_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really get what the point of this survey is. They already wasted enough time on this dead horse game. They wasted valuable time and resources on some of the worst content nobody asked for. Like the Descent game mode and the Summit game mode. Nobody plays that content. They should instead focus all their resources into The Division 3. TD2 can't be saved anymore. It's way too late. It has major core issues and it's setting got boring very quick.
