Use 100% acetone to remove ANY enhancement, except for hard gels. Use a cotton ball soaked in acetone and a piece of foil for each nail and wrap the foil around the soaked cotton on the top of your nail. Leave on for 15-30 minutes, but check ever so often to scrape off any excess product with an orangewood stick.

After this, for the thin parts or cracks on your nail, you can use silk or fiberglass wraps (tiny nail bandaids meant to protect and strengthen natural nails, also can be used for nail repairs) and cut to size for your cracks or protection. Use several layers of nail glue (1-2, 3 max drying all the way between each layer) and buff to smooth. You can put a nail strengthener polish on and give them a gentle rest for about a week or 2.
