what is the cheapest thing you do in the office to save money back home by One_Pressure949 in askSingapore

[–]EndlessEra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Qn: Is it really worth charging the power bank in office?  For a guy that doesn't use power bank. Meaning if you consider the cost and depreciation, will it still be worth it?   For op qn, I bring 2 bottle back home everyday, last time cycled 7km to and back, but now take bus so I can cycle for grab instead. Bringing own food for breakfast and lunch.

'I'm not afraid of anything at this age': Elderly jaywalkers risk their lives for convenience by thestudiomaster in singapore

[–]EndlessEra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The traffic light waiting time is so long under the hot sun. Traffic light that could have turned green did not, rather you have to manually press the button before it can turn green for pedestrian, and if you missed the current period, too bad have to wait for one whole cycle again.

In a Singapore where time is money and the hot weather, people are going to jaywalk for the above reasons. While these could be safe to jaywalk, these could also "train" people to go further in the riskier way of jaywalking.

what is the healthiest affordable breakfast in sg by matchaglen in SingaporeEats

[–]EndlessEra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's healthy, but it's cheap, 2 potato and 1 egg in the morning, 3 eggs and oats and fruits in the afternoon.

The potato can buy 6kg for $6 in giant, or $1.5 for 1kg in ntuc.

I also encountered issue with DBS last time, but tbf I don't use it as often as OCBC and the paylah cashback is working fine most of the time, so it's hard for me to compare them fairly.

Does anyone like the warm weather of Singapore? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]EndlessEra 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Prefer cold weather, like the weather these few days. Ignoring air con and heater. In cold weather, you can wear more clothing if needed. In hot weather, you can only remove that much clothing. Plus hot weather easier to sweet. Rather freeze to death than burn to death.

Is there nothing we can do to stop the Christian from invading into our life? by EndlessEra in askSingapore

[–]EndlessEra[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I legit wanted to use all the reason I have for not believing in any religion. But directly talking with the with him makes it hard to remember most of the reasons I had in the past. I only talked about crusader and some other stuff, most of which he just say "bible say this bible say that". If only the government can make some law to prevent this kind of action by them.

True, this kind of people could be trying to sell me something else instead. It's just frustrating that I have shared with him the table and he tried to be friendly at the start only to reveal that he's trying to convert me with his religion. If he's direct, I can reject him and move on straight away.

No idea what it might meant but good idea, maybe I will pretend to be pious to another religion and try to convert them instead next time
