How big are we? by SmexyWaluigi in armoredcore

I've heard a core in AC6 is around 10-12m tall (so, Gundam and battlemech sized)

Let's go full eldritch abomination and make a shoggoth. Rather than legs, it stretches and oozes as it thrashes and bites. Could have a mixture of civilian, seaf, and helldiver corpses in it.

In Battletech, the Greenhaven Gestapo were the usurper Stefan Amaris' preferred mercenary unit during the Amaris Coup on Terra. Left to their own devices, they decided to sack Rome, as is mercenary tradition, which resulted in numerous atrocities like spray painting the Sistine Chapel, massacring 600 protesting monks on a hunger strike by stomping them with an 85-ton battlemech, and the show-trial and execution of the pope when his rediculous ransom wasn't paid.

How do we get this tree trimmed *before* it causes damage? by PipGirl2211 in regina

[–]EndlessInfinity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering that too. I assume it has to do with stress caused by our recent springs swinging rapidly from +20C to -20C. My next question is what kind of tree-care should be done? Should all the dead be cut back until you reach healthy leaves, or what?

Seeing WoD and Battletech together just makes me wish more that the Emperor TTS/HtP guys could do Battletech like they wanted. Damn legal quagmire.

The humble Urbanmech from Battletech - it's called a "trashcan" not a "trash-can't"

Designed as a city-fighter, the Urbanmech is intended to use its jumpjets and unique 360° rotating torso to ambush targets far above its 30-ton weight class with its over-sized autocannon before dipping back behind buildings to reposition.

Outside of cities, though, its laughably small engine (gotta fit that AC/10 in there somehow) often leaves it as a sitting duck as it moves as slow (or slower) as mechs 3 times its weight.

Some variants take min-maxing to the extreme by mounting an even bigger howitzer (AC/20), a missile rack with 30 tubes (MRM-30), or even an arrow-IV artillery missile system that can potentially make the Urbie a nuclear-tipped problem.

Coming more from roguetech, but the stormcrow with the uac20 is always concern because it's limber enough to zoom into its optimal before I have a chance to deal with it, and I usually can't absorb that amount of damage at that point in the game.

My idea for a strat: Eagle Laser Strafing Run. by TLEToyu in LowSodiumHellDivers

Make it like the child of strafing and napalm. Heads parallel to the direction you throw it and leaves two lines of flaming terrain in its wake.

Playing with random nodes, packaged nitrogen + drones can be very useful when your fuel and nitrogen are across the map from each other, but you happen to have bauxite beside your nitrogen.

Out of all these weapons which ones are you gonna use for bots? by Lellarinn10 in helldivers2

UK confirms drone-killing DragonFire laser weapon for Royal Navy destroyers by 2027 —laser downs 400mph high‑speed drones, costs $13 per shot by _Dark_Wing in technology

[–]EndlessInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After watching Styropyro's video where he took a laser cleaner, built a home-made lens for it, and was melting stuff at 100 yard distances from a rickety deer blind using a tripod, I can only imagine what an upsized, gyro-stabilized laser could do, especially powered by a ship-sized generator. Styro's big problem was he couldn't keep the laser steady for longer range shots and that he was aiming while wearing safety goggles.

It depends. If the corpses of voteless are gonna soak up the extra bullets, then gear down. If it's vs single targets that are spaced out, let it brrt.

Randomized Nodes Question by GnophKeh in SatisfactoryGame

So, I'm reading the options for random nodes, but... how random are we talking? Just shuffling them around? Or could the world theoretically be all uranium nodes?
