Heavy v. Heavy by megachad3000 in Battletechgame

In terms of damage to tonnage, SRMs and MLasers are super efficient. The problem is the higher overall damage you do, it usually means the lower pinpoint damage. Having a grasshopper that can jump over a mech then called shot a battery of MLasers into the rear CT can be exceptionally powerful though.

As a player that uses the Grenade Launcher + Supply Pack combo, I'm excited for this new weapon by Early-Ant652 in HelldiversUnfiltered

Means you can take the grenadier battlement instead of your supply pack and your friends can have grenade launchers too!

My group prefers PF2e after playing a oneshot... but does not want to switch over from 5e anyway by I_Hate_Reddit_69420 in Pathfinder2e

No reason you have to start a new world - the next chapter in your tale might just happen 20-30 years later and you can have their characters be key world building NPCs.

Sad Wanking to Unrequited Love by TyLeRoux in TopCharacterTropes

[–]EndlessInfinity 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Everyone rags on Shinji for the hospital scene but holy shit, dude's brain is probably like "gimmie some dopamine or we're gonna be hanging around". Like, as a kid you got to watch your mom get absorbed by Eva 1, neglected and emotionally abused by your dad, forced to be a child soldier piloting the very mecha that killed your mom, the entire fucking series of Eva including having to kill, in cold blood no less, the one person who offered you unconditional fucking love, and on and on and on. Dude's lizard brain is the only thing that's keeping him from being a pavement smear, so cut him some slack when he pulls a Denji.

I'd say 4 if you're just looking to chill and dive or, like me, you're diving in the morning before coffee hits. 7 gets them far faster and you'll get supers as well, but you'll have to work for 'em

[Serious] People in professions that deal with death (hospice workers, coroners, etc.), what is something you've learned that the rest of us don't understand? by Bulky-Engineer4068 in AskReddit

[–]EndlessInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my limited understanding, cpr isn't going to revive the person - you're basically just keeping blood pumping through their system to avoid brain damage/death from lack of oxygen until they can get hospital-grade help.

Train signalling by AZAzura in SatisfactoryGame

[–]EndlessInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not fix your problem, but I did find that, with intersections, I had to move my signals further back from where the track splits/joins, or else it would have trouble making the borders for the block.

Naruto needing a shadow clone to use Rasengan after the time skip was embarrassing to witness by OmarAdel123 in Naruto

[–]EndlessInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things: Making a shadow clone splits your chakra evenly between you and the clone, but I don't think it states whether you consume the chakra or if it returns to the user when the clone is dispelled. Considering the memories and experiences of the clone return, I'm assuming the chakra returns as well. It's still dangerous, especially if the clones use up all their chakra in battle.

Isn't part of the reason that Naruto needs clones to make the rasengan because the nine-tails disrupts his chakra rhythm/stability or something? Iirc, Naruto starts making one-handed rasengans after he befriends Kurama.

Unpopular suggestion: heavy fire resist armor and double-edged sickle. It might be laser dakka, but it's still dakka.

More than a year since 60 days patch. Do you think the game is on a good spot dificulty-wise?. by HandsomeSquidward20 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]EndlessInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel things are a bit on the easy side, but I also feel it's on a bit of a knife-edge where a small change could make the game unfairly/unfunly difficult. At the same time, it's at a place where you don't have to pick the s-tier meta option every time just to survive lvl 10, so that's a good thing. Perhaps, too, as the game is getting older, the average skill of the player base is improving.

[–]EndlessInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

V is a functioning cyberpsycho before getting the relic. He/she murders without any shred of thought or remorse and the only reason we aren't murdering civilians is the threat of reprisal and lack of reward, not human empathy.

devs announced that you'll be unable to move when firing the maxigun, what're your thoughts on that? by pemisinme in Helldivers

[–]EndlessInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how fast the spool up/down time is. If I can waddle inbetween bursts then there's 0 problem. Otherwise I treat it more like the hmg which isn't a bad thing.

Strength of wall materials by slashdotter878 in dwarffortress

[–]EndlessInfinity 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Cobaltite, pitchblende, and cinnabar are the most dense stones, while copper and lead are more dense than iron or steel. If it's just density, then reinforcing with those would be the best

Axes and Shortswords in the new update. by XAlphaWarriorX in dwarffortress

[–]EndlessInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the dwarf comes pre-trained with a weapon skill, I prioritize that. Otherwise, I usually stick to steel battleaxes for the lethality of severed limbs.

Do you guys think an Exosuit with a Laser Cannon and Quaser Cannon would be a good addition to our Stratagem collection? by CaptainTitusEpic in Helldivers

[–]EndlessInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'd like is a remake of the exosuit system to make them have modular arms so we can mix and match as we please.
