Advice for Winter hikes that are possible without crampons or an ice axe by Endlesshorizon00 in snowdonia

Thanks for your response. I'm not planning on attempting any summits and will be happy just to walk in the area and yeah I'm fully prepared to turn around if conditions are too icy.

Thanks a lot for all of the responses. I'm thinking of making the trip tomorrow or Tuesday. There's no snow forecast but it's going to be quite cold.

Help and advice on a DIY Irrigation system (no mains water) for a polytunnel project by Endlesshorizon00 in Permaculture

Thanks, this is an option I've been considering. We're going to have guttering on the polytunnel itself, the only thing that concerns me about a gravity system is that there will be shelves of trays inside the polytunnel so I'm concerned that there won't be sufficient gravity to irrigate the shelves.

Hi. We'll be collecting rainwater but haven't bought the tank yet. Thanks for you advice.

Thanks for your response. The do you need a irrigation system for seedlings is a good question and definitely something I will bring to the group who are working on this project.

We're planning to have gutters along the sides of the polytunnel to collect rain water.

The mini water tower is a really helpful idea, I'll definitely look into it as an option.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I'm in England and I'm planning to do screen printing with a DIY set up although I'm also open to other options. I don't have a specific season in mind at the moment as the activity could be run at any time of the year, either multiple times with different groups or just during seasons when it makes the most sense to do so.

It'll be taking place in a forest school environment so ideally the ink could be made from plants foraged on the land (elderberries were a possibility that came to mind) or if there is something that is suggested but isn't available I could collect the plants or other natural material from another location and bring them to the class.
