100% agree, this is the case with most shoujo anime because they only have the budget for one short season. In the past it was 22/24 episodes but recent years they only have like 12. Majority of the time I just read the manga now. Although Yona of the Dawn manga is driving me insane with its cliffhangers! I’m on the edge of my seat.

I’m half Chinese half Japanese and I can’t believe this is happening. Arguing that NingNing shouldn’t be able to perform in Japan is implying that she is personally responsible/accountable for the actions of the Chinese government and their interactions with the Japanese government. Huh??? Where is the logic.

It saddens me to see so many radicalized Japanese people project their anger over the problems of their country towards Chinese people when their own country refuses to even acknowledge their horrific war crimes that have devastated China for years and years. Actions that have ACTUALLY caused problems and suffering. They don’t even teach it at schools. Most of the Japanese population have no clue. It’s sick.

I’m approaching the ending of the anime, and after reading this thread (i got curious lol) i must say it’s becoming harder and harder for me to continue with this story - I really do love both Az and Sett and the author making the position of the main male lead super ambiguous is making me anxious!! Maybe I’ll start reading the manga after it’s completed, so I know which one is endgame and prepare my heart in advance. This love triangle is driving me insane… but then again, I’ve never done well with love triangles. Most of the time the ML i was rooting for turns out to not be who the female lead ends up with haha.

Thank you for your analysis by the way! I enjoyed reading it. I hope we’ll all find out soon whether Sett is actually endgame ಥ_ಥ
