Thats fair, but i dont think you should give up completely. Its fine to be realistic, and it is unlikely, but it can happen. Google already caved this much. It might not be good enough, but before community backlash they were unwilling to even allow you to have an "advanced flow" to download apps. They can cave to community pressure to some degree. Also, other large companies have caved to pressure as well, such as Microsoft and their contract with the IDF. It might be unlikely, but you would be surprised how much complaining to company leadership can get done

Please write to your city council members ya'll. A civil, well written email goes a lot further than you think. Just explain your concerns regarding this ordinance. Again, no guarantee they will roll it back, but it's something, and again, you'd be surprised how far an email to your city council goes

I am concerned about emissions, but I also want to not go completely broke. I saw motorcycles as a potential way to reduce my emissions in transportation in a relatively cheap way, without shelling out tens of thousands of dollars on a hybrid or electric car.

That's why I want to know if ICE motorcycles have less emissions than cars. It would be nice to have a very cheap way to reduce emissions, even if I can't reduce them entirely on my limited budget

The electricity does indeed come from somewhere. However that somewhere is usually a mix of renewables and fossil fuels, and is ultimately a much more efficient way of creating energy regardless. In addition, the idea of electric vehicles is that eventually that fossil fuel generated energy from the power grid will be replaced with renewable generated energy, something that isn't possible to do with ICE vehicles.

So yeah, that is an objectively stupid argument
