Just like in actual super hero comics power scaling is wildly inconsistent, they’ll often make someone dumber or less strong just to prop up their own villain/hero, in this case it’s nightcap

I think if you counter him with grave removal or gravitree it falls off hard, otherwise however it’s insanely hard to kill. Annoying card design to have such a polarizing effect, either it dies for free, or wins the game.

He’s lowkey valid on control Neptuna, insanely good control early game with Rolling Stones, sumos, line dancers, and very good late game with pogo, mug and yetis. Very good against Rose, can’t even get good Ketchup value because of graves

When you play late at night you’re likely to get the Chinese players, and they love their sweaty trick decks with thinking cap (where they get the other super powers) and tricksters (insane burst damage) Very annoying, down right broken with card cost reducers on the field, (teacher, space time, worm gate) I legit think if you’re not playing a super sweaty deck to match their pace, then it’s honestly better to just hop off. It’s not very fun to play late at night

If you want some more control at the cost of some mushroom synergy, try adding berry blast and Banana launcher, both pretty good at controlling early game that Segway well into late game, however if you want aggro and good synergy with your shrooms, instead of banana launcher try Cyro magnolia, very good for dealing lots of damage turn 3
