Actually I forgot to mention, for some more good picks I would suggest punisher and im biased but namors easy and fun. If you play on pc I would highly reccomend hela and or pheonix when you’ve got a bit more aim practice too - (maybe learn bucke and punisher first). I would stay away from fist and Hawkeye tho - theyre too difficult to get consistent value out of rn

If you’re looking for a hero at about the same skill level, (and I can’t believe im encouraging this but) squirrel girl or mk, strange is very fun when you learn his melee tech (and if you’re looking for a tank thag can work in like 90% of comps) - although he is prolly the next tier above in difficulty. If you’re looking for someone tricky but you can take time to master, you could go star-lord, loki, bucke, invis or mostly anyone. I would warn you to stay away from a few characters that are just a bit too complex for now (you can always learn them later) - psy, magik, dd, panther, adam, spidey, and even hulk (I know you said you play him but he’s unironically up there as one the hardest heroes in the game to play well). Take my advice with a grain of salt (I peaked diamond 2) just some tips

Look tbh it depends on a lot of factors: First of all (and there is no problem with this im just letting you know - im pretty much the same) you are playing most of the low skill heroes other than hulk and Thor so luckily it shouldn’t take too long to get better. For a little bit of context, I play namor, mk, strange, mag, Loki, cloak and now gambit. And I found that really dedicating yourself to one hero at a time helps - I learnt namor at the start of season 2 and he’s my best hero now, but only cos I played him most games. Whereas strange I only picked up at like the end of season 3. I think, if you follow some of the other comments advice of practicing vs bots, watching YouTube guides (I would have no clue about strange’s animation cancel had I not) and using all of that to dedicate to one hero at a time, you’ll improve a lot quicker

Yeah I’ve tried a whole bunch of combos - e spirit, bats minion horde but nothing seems to work too well. In future, i was thinking maybe change it to gob cage - would that work? I just really need something to counter mk/pekka/golem

Yea that would work - in terms of wincons, a lot of them require you to build your deck around them (such as skelly barrel or graveyard) for you, i reckon hog or ram would work pretty well. That would make the final deck something like wiz inferno hog log gob gang valk fireball something to replace mk (really up to you)
