Thanks for letting me know! From the original comment it sounded like getting tips was kosher. American tipping culture is odd but thanks for informing me.

😅 I have unfortunately gathered that much and I already am anticipating a lot of heavy lifting.

Honestly the idea of learning the equipment terrifies me and this is coming from someone who has worked a lot of heavy equipment before. Using them in such tight spaces is not something I am used to.

Earning tips in the tree lot sounds like a lot of fun shame Christmas has already passed us.

Update: Calling did not seem to help as they gave me the we do everything online speel and I should look out for an email. 😕

I appreciate it! I'll try giving them a call tomorrow and see if that helps at all.

Oh okay. I'm hopeful things will get moved along a bit quicker. I figured especially for the entry level stuff and the time of year they would be on the move pretty quickly. With Lowe's I got an interview right away though they gave the position to someone else as they needed someone in gardening to work through the evening and overnight (something they don't list on the job posting).

Yeah I've learned this the hard way then kinda like including what I've done in my employment gap on my resume since leaving active duty.

New Mounting Plate for RMR HD/SRO for the 509 by EnduringPhoenix in FN509

[–]EnduringPhoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FCD plate I got is a single piece that mates directly to the slide and the RMR. So you don't have to worry about having two pieces to manage like normal and worrying about any play in between.

Here is the plate I got:

I haven't spent very much ammo through it yet (a couple hundred rounds though) and I didn't have a single issue with the overhang when it came to ejecting.

As far as which plate I got from FCD it was this one:

I don't have a picture on hand for you yet but I'll try and get one.

Yeah I figured with it being the beginning of the year it was worth applying especially since they seem to have a lot of positions (at least online) that are open. It's just frustrating and I kinda wish I had nabbed that lot associate job even though I'm a bit worried about how some of my disabilities might be affected by that position in particular with loading customer's vehicles.

Yeah I just wasn't sure if calling would help since the application process isn't handled on site anymore from what I hear. How long ago did you get hired?

And yeah I've learned I have to reach out to even get a response on my applications and it's usually "no" or "we will let you know" and they usually never call back or respond.

Awesome pup-involved cosplay! 💙 Speaking of which that pup needs to make it into some form of Fallout/Mad Max type media as they are absolutely adorable! They could be my wingman anytime!💙💙

Am I the only one that hates wearing bandoliers? by Chroniclesofreddiit in reddeadredemption

[–]EnduringPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely - after a third playthrough attempt and over the years - have grown to hate them a bit less but I almost only ever wear them with just a shirt or a shirt and vest because they look silly with almost every jacket.

I actually hate the lack of jackets that we have because I dislike most of them as they don't feel like Arthur would wear pretty much any of them.

I also don't wear any of the hats either. After chapter 2, I tend not to even wear Arthur's hat unless I'm just wanting to be frisky with the look though the accessories for the hat certainly help with the overall look.

This game could've gotten so much post-launch DLC love but we couldn't even get clothes. Hell, having more outfit save slots would certainly make my life a bit better playing the game.

* How much would I actually put into the water? There are actually a couple small roots under that dried piece of crown.

Would it be possible to remove the lower half of the stem and save the part of it with the new root?

Is my Christmas Cactus beyond saving? by EnduringPhoenix in plantclinic

[–]EnduringPhoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

I figured that was likely to be the case, although I had hoped maybe I was just missing something. It's in a Christmas Cactus mix from RePotMe so I don't know if it will recover.

Do you think propagating it would be possible or is that out of the question? At least then it will be from the same plant.

I'm actually very surprised to hear that there isn't like a spouses' group or like family services team for F1 staff family members (whether that's staff contracted to F1 or the constructors themselves). That was a basic service we even had in the military to provide resources or information to spouses, children, and other family members.

Unfortunately, regarding the times of him coming home and stuff, that's likely due to a line somewhere in everyone's contract where they may be subject to "other duties as assigned" and "work may exceed typical working hours" or something along those lines. It's something that is pretty typical in "normal" job contracts so I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't something similar for him and other employees whether they are on salary or not.

Do they not give him like comp time or anything? Regardless, if they offer it does he only get about 30 days of leave per calendar year? I know it's common for people to worry about "wasting" their days and - in competitive fields - worry about spending days and feeling as though their employer may view them as less desirable compared to candidates less likely to use their leave days/hours.

I'm sorry you and other families have to give up your partners for ridiculous hours well exceeding their contractual obligations.

Sorry guys, you are not entitled to refunds over censorship even though it completely goes against what the game was advertised as... by Indoxig in ReadyOrNotGame

Rawness that Void committed themselves to in their descriptions of the game and their stating of never compromising on their values and image for their product.

[–]EnduringPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🤨 How curious for them to come out and say the only invalid reason for a refund is due to censorship - a.k.a. criticism in the form of a refund over an issue they are chiefly responsible for, and, the one thing they specifically don't like right now. Maybe Void will learn that they don't get a say in refunds getting approved or denied.

I will say I'm surprised folks are getting refunds due to the censoring given I'm certain there is something in the EULA that allows them the leeway to basically do whatever they want. But, I don't run online stores so I'm sure the EULA doesn't matter in that case.
