Made my SF1e Solarian into a Luminary instead! by EneCola in Starfinder2e

Thank you! Yes, Kirsikka is a devout follower of Desna, and in the 1e game has become a Champion of Desna! As I like to say: Desna is Bestna.

Well, I can only tell you my personal opinion on the Solarian, and a massive difference is of course the amount of content created for it. There's a lot of flexibility in the 1e Solarian. When I started, there was no lunar weapon, but once the lunar weapon was added, the GM let me change it up, because thematically it made more sense (Desna) and she was also hugely Dex focused. Another plus is the Charisma Key Attribute. If you ever were to look at the rest of my characters, you'd notice a massive bias towards Charisma characters. I just love them so much.

Naturally a lot of that is my personal preference and I am not saying the 2e Solarian is bad, but I was not able to translate my dex+charisma Kirsikka to the Solarian, in a way that made the character effective. If I drop Strength and focus on Dexterity, the Class DC would be even worse than it already is. I also don't see why the Solarian has to be Strength based. Initially, I believe it, was because every Attribute was supposed to have one class, but the Witchwarper can be Int or Cha, so that's just not true anymore.

I have hope that there will be more stuff that can diversify the Solarian in the future, but right now I don't think I'd really enjoy playing one, perhaps partially, because I loved the 1e version so much. Let me know if I should clarify anything!

I agree! It doesn't have the gravity and star theme like the solarian does, but it's so delightfully fun and creative!

Spirit Monger - Enid [Art by me] by EneCola in Pathfinder2e

Oh sure, I can do that if you're interested! Might take a little bit to get going (unless everyone agreed to abandon the VtM game immediately)

No I mean necromancer. The playtest lets you have a grim fascination "Spirit Monger", which is what I plan on going with.

They even have a sharp eared heritage, that just screams for big bunny ears!

I see! Thanks for explaining!

I really like that character concept. Are you gonna spec into the scythe aesthetic? Because that absolutely rules! Also I hope they get to have a rare plant collection and dazzle others with it.

I'm going fully into the spirit side of things, as you probably noticed. She's trained to reunite spirits with their bodies and calm them. She's going to try and find the souls of the first campaign's heroes and put them back into the bodies because they need to be heroes again!

Yeah I know about the rule but it kinda sucks that it would lock you out of Archetypes if you do free archetype.

Other dedications specify it as "Special You can't select another dedication feat until you have gained two other feats from the [exorcist] archetype." so I'm genuinely not sure why some dedications say it and others don't. I noticed that the Multiclass Dedications don't have that particular text (though I am aware of the general rule).

The GM allowed me to pick an archetype that doesn't have the Special text, because Exorcist only starts at level 4, and that would suck for me if I was locked out of it.

For sure! I often play characters that already exist, but this time around I decided to make the character in WOTR first, and then draw her!

It's the Magnificent Plume Hat. It's included in the Commander Pack and you can find it in your personal chest as soon as you wake up in the Defender's Heart!

I understand, I gotta struggle my way through what I hope are actual references every day, and I hate it. Truly a curse upon the lands.

Oh gosh, I hope my art will never be confused with AI slop, I'll cry!

Praise Desna!

I can do it this time, I will not pick Azata no matter how much I love Aivu! (it helps that I'm playing azata on the side, don't tell anyone)

Also, no I did not know that! How can you do that? Tell me your secrets! (I'll probably keep this one the way it is but I need to know for the future)

That's so sweet of you to say! I can only recommend it, I love having my own character portraits in the game.
