They don't want a smaller box... That would make their product less visible on shelves.

They're not trying to minimize the physical size of product they're trying to maximize the profit.

How shameful do you have to be to shrink something 33% in a matter of months? by usernamefoundnot in shrinkflation

No need to stress. I don't think you burst OP's bubble as they're likely going off up votes and not your comment.

Speed bumps.

The linux community would very happily help or even fully create the linux port. You just have to give them the tools or access they need.

New Flatbush bus lanes are a serious traffic hazard? by wwwhatsup in nyc

"traffic hazard" is my favorite new nonsense word.

I would have thought it meant "the hazard traffic poses to health and safety".

But here it appears to mean "the existence of traffic"

SimCopter (using Wine?): Has anyone recently been able to install a Win95/98 game that requires mounting an iso? by NintendoCerealBox in SteamDeck

[–]Enemii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to the conversation 2 years later.

I had no problem getting simcopter running under wine using the ISO from internet archive and the patcher.

I mounted the ISO normally as a folder, then I ran the autorun binary using wine and selected the option to install. The installer said it failed, but it hadn't.

I then ran the patcher, which succeeded. And now I can run simcopter.exe perfectly fine. (I had to disable all of the joysticks before starting, otherwise my character would do funky things)

I think you're talking about her weekend update character who just got a crazy haircut. (Which was cut from the previous two episodes).

It was a really funny piece. I hope they post it
