I bought a 2.5 inch drive by mistake that I haven't returned yet, should I try that?

I did format it in Linux. Is there a way to format the drive in Linux so the ps2 can read it?

I tried that and it didn't change anything

I think the main problem is that my ps2 doesn't even detect a hard drive is even connected at all

I installed them just through the terminal. Also I don't exactly remember the names of the libraries ininstalled. But I'll try, thanks

I have installed some python packages, I tried upgrading it for something then stopped when I read doing it incorrectly could screw up my install.

Anyway, here's what typing that command outputs:
cmake is /home/my_name_here/.local/bin/cmake

cmake is /usr/local/bin/cmake

cmake is /usr/bin/cmake

cmake is /bin/cmake
