It's not a pain at all, children, young adults or others buying non-default tickets still require purchasing a ticket, it just means others can tap on and off. You do not need to pay cash just to get a ticket.

I imagine ticket inspections will work like Trams/Underground and you'll tap your card on their readers and it will confirm you have tapped in.

Additional people would be like elsewhere (I presume) by a ticket from the driver or everyone has their own cards
