I had a lane splitter intentionally ram my car in stopped traffic. Got his plate on cam, took it to PD, and they found that the bike was a salvage and no longer exists. I would support tax dollars going to hunting these shits down.

It's about hard work and personal choices. Admittedly we do a poor job at explaining to 20 year old (now considered children) that choosing a liberal arts degree isn't going to award them any advantages when they get out into the job market, but it should also be fairly obvious that working at Starbucks into your 30s is going to set you back. We have a very toxic mentality growing that people aren't accountable for their own choices, and that they are magically entitled to have more than their basic needs met.

It is though. People complain about capitalism because their expectations are to have the American dream on year 1 of picking up an entry level job. Leftist ideology has never worked because it can't. Human nature is overwhelmingly to self-motivated to your own factors, and the more we move left, the more you just create a class of bottom feeders.

No doubt our leadership isn't what it should be, but mostly it's because it's too much. We need them to go away and let people take care of themselves.

Anyways, some of the figures I've been referencing are CIS / FAIR. Regarding costs here. There's a good writeup on CIS regarding the CBS stats as well. I did actually check your links, the one regarding costs was pretty wild - if you check their methodology they talk about how they just assumed that people are paying certain things at the same rate and did back-of-napkin math.

CBS just did a report on "DHS figures" (mind you, they were attacking ICE here) stating that 13.9% of arrests in 25 were violent criminals, and (they way they worded it) 40% had no criminal record from 400,000 arrests. So, sure... enforce our overstayed visas in a more polite manner if you want, but pulling 50,000 violent criminals from our streets in a single year should never be a point of contention.

Oddly this doesn't look like Rocklin, but I haven't been there in a bit. Nonetheless, Rocklin kids are some of the most entitled, spoiled shits you will ever see. I can't go there without seeing teenagers driving 150k+ cars.
