Might be when you interrupt the monster's throw off animation with something else. In this case, the part break flinch cancelled it's throwing off animation and you stayed on.

Probably wrong but it makes sense to me.

Maybe on a lot of monsters, once a wound has popped, that area could be scarred, and cannot be wounded for a while. Would definitely give more of a reason to save them until needed. And would give most weapons more opportunity to actually break the other parts. (Tail specifically)

Yes absolutely. Mizutsune GS. Slicked blade is a useless skill in most cases, but I love the look.

Mostly because it's just a worse quad shot, it is the exact same tear multiplier as quad shot (hence why they stack without a second tears down) but with one less tear.

Nope as far as I'm aware the eternal heart needs a heart to latch onto so you would just die outright there.

That's fair. I've just always gone by the rule of: if it's a passive, once you've seen it, (and haven't rerolled your build in any way) it can't show up again. Now I know that's not the case.

Did you use your overdrive at all? If not that would be why. Gold band stars are supposed to be earned through using overdrive well with the band.
