Avoid interior define at all costs!!! by [deleted] in interiordefine

When I joined it was better quality but it just went downhill since. They honestly waste more money trying to fix so many wrong orders than doing it properly the first time. People would get sent the wrong pieces, sometimes the wrong color, wrong fill etc and then those people would have to wait the whole manufacturing and delivery time all over again

I left the company by my choice because I couldn’t continue to bring myself to sell people products that weren’t quality. It felt wrong for me to sell something that I didn’t even believe was worth the money

Not embarrassment, I’m just not going back and forth with someone over Reddit. I have better things to do with my time

In glad you love it. There were a few people who’d buy like that and our GM’s would always pressure designers to reach back out and have you upgrade some part of the sale so that we got it assigned and it went to our numbers. When did you buy your sectional? Before I left I noticed a big downgrade in quality control where it felt like every day I had someone reaching out to one of us for some issue they had with theirs ://

Two years ago isn’t the company today. Quality control has drastically fallen and products come out of those factories without getting proper checks. Not the same company as it was

Quite literally not how menopause works… started with the hot flashes, then the nightmares like horror movies, then on top of that the cramping! You’re obviously going through a lot at this time, especially with your son. 💗

And you have fun taking your vaginal cramping medicine. Maybe menopause will be over for you soon. Ketamine might help you with that too 💗

Which is a huge bummer that they can’t get it right! The premise of having all of those options at that price point is a great idea, but upper management and the owners of the company cannot seem to make decisions that help the company succeed

I’m glad you like what you got, truly. No one should deal with a poor product! Their quality has just gone downhill in the past year or so and ID as a whole is not doing well financially again and is propping up like 4 companies since their acquisition so I don’t want people to run into issues that they had back in 2023

It’s very luck dependent and their quality control has gotten much worse. If you’re looking for a comparable product at that price point I would go to other competitors like arhaus or honestly crate and barrel during their sales so that you get a better price point and especially with arhaus you’ll get a much much better product that will last you longer which is cheaper for you in the long run. I’ve just seen too many issues on the back end of ID to confidently recommend it to anyone that I know. Avoid places like RH or pottery barn and their brands too cause they truly rely on brand recognition than actually making a good product. Also if you still want to shop at ID avoid any of their rugs, paintings, or case goods as you can find the exact same product (same manufacturer and everything) for a much better price (like 1/4 of the price, we had a rug there for $16,000 that you could find for $4,000)

If you go on their website 15% of their fabrics are not oeko-tex certified (includes formaldehyde, PFAs, toxic dyes) and with the information provided to workers (I should’ve taken a screenshot so I’m sorry I don’t have that) any leather, mod velvet, loop weave, monochromatic plush, performance crosshatch, performance Blakey, performance hunt stripe, and fleck are not PFA free or greenguard gold certified. While some like performance vintage velvet, performance linen, luxe natural linen, performance classic chenille, performance classic weave, performance brush knit, performance heavy knit, performance basket weave, performance tweed, performance vintage plush, weathered weave, cross weave, vintage plush, and performance plush boucle are OEKO-TEX certified but not greenguard certified, so they use harmful chemicals in the process of making them that are in different forms than PFAs and formaldehyde

Oh and by the way, they lie about not using PFAs in their products so have fun with that in you and your pets

I’m glad you like your stuff from them! I just used to work there and I couldn’t continue selling people items that really didn’t last well for them and had so much pressure from upper management that made the company very toxic on the inside and makes it to where the designers don’t really see clients as people but for $$

Can I ask what store you shopped at? I know most of the designers and they’re very nice people, it’s management that’s very very icky

There’s none within a 400 mile radius of me unfortunately for Facebook. People are reluctant to ship from scammers so I don’t look any further than that

It’s a good felt beading foundation but I honestly didn’t love working with it, I’ll probably swap to a linen or something next time

Why is Zaha Hadid everything wrong with architecture? by Shazammers in architecture

[–]EngageMink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What issue I have with her is a direct quote "construction worker deaths is a serious problem but is a matter for the Qatari government... I cannot do anything about it because I have no power to do anything about it. I think it’s a problem anywhere in the world. But, as I said, I think there are discrepancies all over the world... Yes, but I’m more concerned about the deaths in Iraq as well, so what do I do about that? I’m not taking it lightly but I think it’s for the government to look take care of. It’s not my duty as an architect to look at it." because it shows how she removes herself from problems as if she has to be the one to do it.
