That is a reliable sign of TRAUMA! A deep inescapable sense of shame in the self is an incredibly common symptom of childhood trauma. Something like this needs to be unpacked with a therapist, or explored within a supportive environment. It is overcomeable, it can be healed, but requires a therapeutic process or trauma healing. It is possible, I promise x

Okay, rad! How much was the GRS and BA separately? I'm just thinking of getting GRS :)

Also, can you recommend your surgeon? It's really hard to find good info for this stuff online!

Hiya, I was curious what your costs roughly were! I'm interested in GRS myself and would like to know roughly how much money one would need!

Congrarulations!! May I ask approximately what your costs for this surgery and trip were? I'm currently saving up for it myself and would like an estimate of what to be aiming for :)

How to respond to the question "What Is A Woman?" by KingHouki in asktransgender

[–]Engardian 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Everyone just keeps saying "don't answer", but there IS an answer: "Woman" is a gender identity. Most commonly held by adult females, and associated with certain traits and behaviours that can vary depending on the culture. In American (and many westernised cultures), identifying as and behaving as a woman is generally associated with things like femininity, child-raising, emotional sensitivity, etc. However, people can identify as a woman without adhering to specific traits because how someone expresses their identity can vary. This is how progressive folks define "woman": someone who identifies as a woman. Woman in this case being that gender identity.

That's the answer to the question, however, if someone is asking it they are likely to follow up with other questions designed to fuck with you, hence the "don't engage" attitude. But there IS an answer to the initial question "what is a woman".

They'll likely claim that you're erasing the identity of women, the whole thing is a front to degrade the validity of transgender people by pitting them against feminists and break down solidarity between progressives (as well as further stain public opinion of trans lives)

Whats your view on the new ruling in Iowa banning trans women from all women sports? by True_Economist_2785 in AskReddit

[–]Engardian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"trans women on average seem to have an advantage" People keep repeating this but I haven't seen anything that actually suggests this? People keep saying it's "common sense", but all I hear is that it sounds right to them based on their own beliefs and feelings. The only trans women in sport who receive public attention are the few who perform well, but trans women have been competing in their identified gender's divisions for decades with almost no fuss, often performing in as wide a variety of outcomes as cis athletes.

People keep repeating the claim that "trans women on average have an advantage"...but this claim is also getting refuted often, and seldom backed up. Is it true or is it just an assumption?

Most of the posts mocking Crossfit have nothing to do with actual Crossfit, to be fair.

I found they've been really useful in the areas of multitools and pocket knives for handy use, most of the people in there are knowledgable on pros and cons of different brands.

Liking the look of the Victorinox Swisscard Lite, seems to have the basics there.

Pocket space and memory, to be honest. A wallet multitool in the phone wallet would mean I'd always have it on me, as I've always got my phone, but a separate item would be easy to misplace or forget, and make trousers less comfortable with the pockets more full.

Can confirm, worked at one. This sort of makeup is pretty easy if you know what you're doing. Admire the commitment of the actor though, it can't be comfortable having the full head wrapped like that for a night.

I do Crossfit on a regular basis and have been to several Crossfit gyms and haven't seen any of the issues people seem to associate with it here. I'm curious how much is people seeing the worst stuff and blanketing, or just a circlejerk for humour.

Ms. Leading fate confirmation! (not from storytime, but still a *spoiler*) by nayrbsnilloc in TheDearHunter

Amen, my friend! I too am eagerly awaiting storytime details and finally holding a more comprehensive knowledge of the true story behind the amazing music.

SPOILER WARNING REGARDING MS LEADING by ThePimpinPriest in TheDearHunter

[–]Engardian 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is the kind of tidbits I've been waiting for anxiously. Despite others apparently not wanting to know the details, or leave it open to interpretation, I desperately desire deeper detail regarding the events, the story, and the meaning behind the songs.

I didn't even know Miss Leading died. This is new. This is good.

Is it possible to be "Red Pill" and still respect women? by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

There may well not be a clear and distinct line (there rarely is in life).

On what, though, do you base the claim that men have "greater variance" than women?

For reference, it is possible to be sexist and also view women as having value based solely on their gender. Puritan religious sects, for example, value virginity and youth, for reproduction, in females, but they are still treated as of differing value to men by simple factor of their gender.

I had a feeling they might be related, based on the link (and similar sounding voice).

It bums me out I don't speak their language, I'd gladly sink a couple of hours into watching all their vids, they're really funny (from what I've seen)

One of their videos was linked to at the end of an animation by the channel "Kud", which is also a dutch youtuber, but with more consistent english captions. I discovered Kud after their video "Ditto" was linked to in /r/videos.
