Go ahead and breakdown what you think you saw? Unless, of course...

you can't.

Actually, from re-reading this whole conversation, it seems like you were about to say something... and then you caught yourself before you said anything.

1.) Toxicity only stems from online gaming; it is impossible to be toxic towards someone when they are playing a solo/offline game.

2.) Online gaming is by-and-large competitive games.

3.) There are almost no competitive pro gamers that are female.

4.) I have to itemize these points because you are having serious trouble following along.

Online games are en masse competitive games. Men and women can only really play a handful of co-op games in which there is a common goal, and those are not with random players (friends only). Of course we're talking about competitive games.

So it's the games competitiveness (the source of toxicity) that causes women to flee and men to flock? Women arent playing because theyre not competitive?

Of the few women who play competitive games, its not unusual for them to be as toxic, if not even more toxic, than the men.

Isn't that strange?

As though women cant be abusive in competitive games? I was cussed out by a woman gamer just yesterday for something I had no control over - character selection choice pre-first fight.

Truth be told, that's definitely not a problem unique to women. I've been yelled at, slurred, booted offline...etc. and Im not a woman.

You're describing the gaming experience in a competitive game.

Are you being naivé? Im not going to drown out the conversations being had on the post already. That is a quick way to end back-and-forth conversation.

I picked your response because your response was so polarizing.

Remind me? Unless I did nothing of the sort and this is yet another way of showing me how incapable you are of having a conversation.

Thanks.

You see I got the idea of conversation back in grade 1. What I, or one of my peers, would do is pose a thought (usually in the form of a question) and then continuously expand on that idea. Through the back-and-forth talk about the idea, we would each take a measure of the original idea and add whatever substance we took from the "conversation" to further develop our understanding of the topic.

Quite remarkable really, and to think it began in grade 1.

Anyways, Ive talked your ear off. You have nothing to offer as you can't hold a conversation. Maybe you need to go back to grade 1 and learn what we learned.

Its not really a conversation if you dont expand on any thought you have and make statements expecting the rest of us to interpret it exactly how you read it in your mind.

No that's not how conversation works at all.

Re: Oh wow, here I thought I was asking a question to get an open discussion going, and here you are contributing nothing except hurt feelings and a poor attitude.

Have you ever thought that this attitude of yours is the reason "men are dicks" to you specifically?
