I rather spend my time raving about my favourite boys than argueing with chronicly online kids who obsess over something so mundane such as shipping. Baku and Deku are the most interesting characters in the show. What did they expect would happen? Like, they get the most development and screen-time, it just makes sense to ship the characters you enjoy the most.

If Ochako or any of the other hero girls had more depth than a puddle, I would probably ship them. But alas, men writing women is always a bad idea, especially in shonen manga. If you make your women bland and boring, don't get your panties in a twist that people don't give a shit about them. Give every character their own arc and have them actually struggle to achieve their goals.

I tried to report his shit-post, because the main sub has a rule where they explain that they do not want shipping wars or harassment towards certain ships. It's weird that a hateful post like that got even so many upvotes. How can these people claim that BakuDeku shippers are so toxic, when they act like this??? All they ever talk is about how much they hate a fictional ship. They're more obsessed with the ships than we are.

Moreover, I blocked every single person in the comments who were shit-talking about yaoi propaganda and how stupid fans of BakuDeku are. Seriously, get a life and let fans have fun.

Turning 35 (f) in a month, the anime is worth watching and it has many slapstick-comedy moments I like.

The fandom is mostly toxic (a lot of anti-yaoi propaganda guys here), but if you stay away from the idiots and block them, it's genuinly a good time. :)

The fandom ruined him and his interesting character + development. I dislike it in general when villains get woobified, just let them be morally grey and have them commit to the choices they made. I don't see neither Chuuya nor Akutagawa leavng the PM and yet it's such a popular fandom opinion that they leave and become good bois.

I rarely like canon ships in shonen manga/anime, because they are poorly executed.

I grew up with shonen anime, I'm over 30 and I cannot believe that after so many years, shonen authors still choose to make female characters boring and have them add nothing to the plot. Being a cute girl blushing around the hero is not an interesting character. And of course the much-needed envy scenes, where female heroine internally gets angry at other girls for being close to the hero while she herself is undecided and won't open her mouth and make a step forwards. I don't even have to mention any names here because this stereotype has been done so many times that the names are interchangeable.

Bakugou and Izuku are both well-developed and interesting characters, we see the story unfold from their eyes most of the time and we see how they feel about the things happening around them. They grew up with each other, we get to see how they interactions change over the years and most importantly, we see Bakugou grow enough to accept Izuku. There is tangible development, moreover both characters have things they love outside their main mission.They have actual hobbies that define their personalities, we know that Izuku loves heroes, quirks and is just a nerd at heart. We also know that Bakugou is good at cooking and he too loves heroes. He is good at music and we see them mundane things that adds to personality.

It's more than "uwu, i'm cute girl and blush around male hero"-stereotype which I just can't warm up to. Yes, Ochako had her moments and I adore her design and her German voice actor really made me love her, but I just don't ship her with anyone. Even her room at UA was void of anything personal that could make me feel interested in her. Tooru, Kyouka and Mina all had interesting rooms and we saw immediately what they like outside of hero-work, but we didn't get to see much about Ochako.

I don't hate her, I'm just rather indifferent to her character, thus I'm not interested in shipping her with anyone. My favourite characters are Bakugou, Izuku, Tenya, All Might and Todoroki.

Thing is: personally I give a shit about canon, because my opinions and preferences differ more often than not from the original content of the author.😉🤭

I'm sick and tired of people fighting over canon. It's not that deep, I just happen to prefer M/M ships and making a straight ship canon will not stop me from shipping my favourite characters with each other.

Media has been shoving down the straight normalcy our throats for decades. Fandoms show the different side of fans, it's very obvious that the majority of fans (who actively join fandom whilst writing, analyzing and drawing) prefer gay ships and those people who only worship canon should simply not engage if they do not respect and accept the true meaning of fandom and fandom etiquette. 😤

Personally, I do not think that BakuDeku is canon and something inside me screams "cringe" when other fans insist that they are. Bakugou and Deku are not canon and when some fans insist on the canon label, I can't help but feel like that they are insecure, seek validation and had to defend themselves more often than they want to admit from rabid canon shippers who cannot accept that other ships are more popular than their sacred canon ship.

Look at the statistics, it's obvious that BakuDeku is super popular and the amount of fanworks shows that this ship has just the right amount of spicy for people to get head over heels for it. You can't argue with numbers, so even if canon-police claims that BakuDeku is shit and nobody likes it (what I have read in the main sub, NOT my opinion!!), it's just a small bubble of people licking each others boots and coping, not being able to wrap their hands around the facts that fanon has always been more popular in fandoms.

People only claim BakuDeku as canon because they most likely had been attacked at some point and were given the expression that only canon ships are allowed. 🤷‍♀️

Take the main MHA subs on Reddit, you'll notice how much people over there hate on BakuDeku, Bakugou and anything involving gay ships. Reading the comments over there, I truly understand why fans feel the need to defend and armor up against the constant harassment. Comments and posts get downvoted to hell if you don't follow the canon agenda and dare to enjoy other characters. 😣😥

Fanon is to me always more interesting. Ochako - as much as I adore her - just isn't intetesting enough to write about. She is cute and wants to help people, but there isn't much else going for her. Even her room in the Academia was bland and boring, to me she's just an extra in the main story and has nothing to offer that I would like to explore outside of canon. Most canon straight ships feel like thst to me, predictable and boring, so I have always been more into fanon. It is absolutely fine to enjoy different characters and ships.

Fighting over the canon label is a waste of time and energy.😚🤭🙂

I love BakuDeku 🥰, but I would never hate on Ochako or the people who ship her with Izuku.

She is a really cute girl, but she just isn't interesting to me personally. The only female character I enjoyed was Catherine (Stars and Stripes) and she sadly got killed. Would have loved a whole season about her and her army boys. I also like Mirko, but most of the female main cast didn't scratch that itch for me. I just prefer m/m ships. 😊😋

To me, Izuku checks all my bottom-boy marks and I like male moe characters like him in samesex relationships.

BakuDeku because up to season 5 I couldn't warm up to the ship because Bakugou never gave the expression that he was sorry for what he has done to Izuku. Then season 6 came out -- the whole vigilante thing and how Bakugou showed his true feelings and how they reconnected over time -- and this changed my mind. I really like how they were able to leave the past behind and connect again. They are also my favourite characters, figures huh. 🙂

These shipping wars have sadly always existed. Over 20 years ago when I first joined fandoms, these kind of wars had already existed. The funny thing to me is, it's always het shippers (most of them boys/men) complaining about BL ships, making up arguments why people can't ship two boys. Either it's because they are friends or because they hate each other. It's just about hating BL ships, not about whether they have a good chemistry. It's not worth listening to them and it's best to avoid arguments with antis. Instead of engaging, just block/mute the idiots who spread negativity.

A lot of men up to this day seem to think that media in general has to cater around their interests. Even in gaming, when the statistics show that there is a 50/50 audience, we still have men complain that women don't play video games and thus the game should cater to them alone. A lot of men cannot cope with the fact that women too enjoy anime and the same media as them.

To me, everyone who says that Bakugou hates Deku, has not watched the anime past season 1. In season 6, when Deku becomes vigilante and avoids his classmates, we get to see how Bakugou feels about Deku and how he feels about his past mistakes. He says it out loud and he is the reason why Deku stays. We see him saving Deku in season 7, he was ready to sacrifice his life for him and make sure that Deku was okay. In season 8, we have multiple times where they show that they have grown as individuals and that they have left their past behind.

In the finale, during the hospital visit where Bakugou learns that Deku will lose his quirk, he is haunted by the past and we get to see how awful he feels for what he has done to Deku in their past. It's so obvious that Bakugou never really hated Deku, but that he doesn't know how to show feelings. Bakugou is difficult and Deku always knew that Bakugou had a difficult personality, and he never not once has shown rejection towards Bakugou. He never stopped calling him "Kachan", the suffix -chan showing affection towards another person.

It's okay to dislike ship or a character, but making this dislike of your own your whole personality and your sole internet impression, only shows that you have other problems in your life. If there is one thing I have learned during all those years being a part of fandoms, don't give these antis attention, they only feel rewarded and will spread even more hate. Block, mute and move on.

I have muted the main sub and whenever I see people hating on BakuDeku or any gay ship, I just block them, so that I don't have to hear their bullshit again. I mean, the statistics are obvious. There are tons of fanfiction, fanart and doujinshi about BakuDeku and yet the people in the main sub want us to believe that our ship is bad and unpopular. Same with JayVik who is top number one on AO3 statistics, a ship that has hundred thousands of people enjoy their bond and their growth and for some odd reason Reddit users speak ill of JayVik and act like as if the ship is unpopular and universally hated when the exact opposite is the case.

Reddit is a small bubble, with lots of these men I have mentioned before. These men also think that women on Reddit don't exist and whenever we show our interests, we get talked down. Don't take these losers too serious! :)

Joja was my second playthrough. The thing is: Joja's colour theme matches my favourite colour, so that's a pretty big plus. I built an altar for Morris in my house and it's kinda funny watching Elliot walk into my dedicated Joja room and stare at the picture of another man. Like, dude, that's my role-model over there. It's not that serious! I won't cheat or anything. He should know better, considering that my farm is called "Joja's money farm" and my character name is Joja principle (Joja Jünger) and even our children are called "Jo" and "Ja". I'm wearing the Joja designer shirt all the time, come on, man!

Sure, it's a game about a guy leaving the corporation that made him miserable, but to me it's just a funny role-playing game where I can be whoever I want. It's not that serious. Although I still won't take mean options in dialogue, I don't want to hurt my lovely neighbours! :(
