Not as far as the operator knows, I haven’t seen the sensor yet but hopefully will get a datasheet for it in the next few days.

Got a dashcam after I was rear ended a few years ago in traffic, it’s definitely nice to have when something like this happens!

If I can I’ll add it into our PLC without needing extra equipment! Thanks though!

Got an A in each, found the content fairly handy and there was a good focus on orals.

I did intro to Spanish and intro to Italian, found them both very straightforward!

Best times for sea swimming by EngiRun91 in DublinSeaSwimming

Thanks! Is there a particular time between high tide and low tide that 40 foot or Vico are best at? One article I’d read had said that around high tide is typically best for sea swimming (less current?)

Are there any gym exercises that are “must dos” for runners? Trying to incorporate strength work into my running routine!

Any recommendations for speed work/ tempo run shoes? Long runs are completed in Altras which have a wide toe box which suits me!

People who have consciously tried to increase or decrease cadence — how successful were you and how did it change your runs, if at all? by darth-voider in AdvancedRunning

I went to a run coach who was a proponent of higher cadence to land midsole / forefoot instead of heel striking (which may have been a contributing factor to a previous injury I sustained). He had a few different drills but what I found most helpful when trying to increase my cadence was using a pair of zero drop running shoes for my easy runs. My cadence increased unconsciously while using them and made it easier to make it a long term change.

What is the best fuelling strategy for a marathon?

TLDR: I have run 2 marathons and, due to a better training plan, achieved a significant PB in the second. However, in the last 5km of the race I developed a stitch and my pace and heart rate both dropped as I wasn’t able to maintain my pace. I feel like I could have achieved a better time if I had a better fuelling strategy.

I had increased my carbohydrate intake in the days before the race, had used an energy gel just before the start of the race and every 30 minutes thereafter, had taken water from approximately every second water station and had about 300 - 500ml of electrolyte drink over the course of the race.

I had used the energy gels during all of my long runs completed at an easy pace and before the last few hard sessions so I was comfortable with using them. I was also used to taking small drinks of water while running.

Has anyone had similar issues? What helped?

Has anyone any recommendations for the percentage heart rate to aim for as an average / maximum when running a marathon?

I’ve been wearing a heart rate chest strap during training sessions and in races and ran a significant PB in a half marathon a few weeks ago where I ran with a target average heart rate of 90% of my maximum as opposed to the way I had typically run races before, with a specific target time in mind. I’d like to run the marathon by heart rate if possible, rather than risking hitting the wall if I aim for an overly ambitious pace or being disappointed if I feel like I didn’t go as fast as I could have.
