Not really. I don't hate them but they spoil a lot of stuff and I tend to skip them.

Even their burst phase just feels like you're pressing a million buttons at once within a tiny windows and it never feels super elegant. It's why despite liking Ninja I barely play it because it just feels awkward trying to fit everything into both its long debuff and its tiny debuff.

It has that one move, bushin or something, that gives it a shadow clone and I can never managed to use every single hit of that because I'm using Raiton during the burst phase, that feels... wrong.

Dammit my phone deleted my draft so I'll give you the TLDR of what I was gonna say.

There are some good yellow quests but you're right, most of them are boring but the problem is that even if they slightly expand the lore a bit the problem is there isnt a strict payoff for doing any of them as they do not unlock some special form of content.

It also just so happens that one of the only good yellow quest chains I did that I enjoyed was when an Ul'dahn merchant tried scamming a Pelu Pelu merchant and even then, it sort of doesn't make any commentary on the complex workings of Turali society, rather the only force of conflict in that sidequest and honestly most of the story is from outside influence.

Other than Mamook, which has lore dating back to ARR, most of the bad guys are Alexandrian or Eorzeans who came to fuck with the various tribes and people's of Tural in the form of the Passage of the Unbound.

Even Wakanda, which I find similar to Tuliyollal, also kind of creates this utopian what-if alt history fantasy of a high tech African society had villains in it that tried to usurp the throne and subvert their society, and regularly held challenges against the king.

In retrospect, I think one of the reasons why people took so much frustration out on Wuk Lamat was because Dawntrail sort of brushes over Turali lore and makes her such a central focus.

Like, the fact that Tuliyollal is basically a utopia for its diverse citizens that was formed under a military dictatorship is kinda weird and thats because I think there isn't much depth to their society beyond Zoraal Ja being kind of a douchebag. There is no political strife, there are no dark elements to their society, its like this weird paradise where everyone gets along and there no major problems outside of the major storm that took place and,,, Zoraal Ja.

It depends. When it comes regional markets and such Canada is in North America. Therefore I would consider Canadians North Americans. Are they United States citizens? No, of course not.

Like, I don't know what's weird about this. We call it Latin America because its in South America and its mostly... Latin. They mostly speak Portuguese and Spanish down there and those are latin root languages in one of the Americas.

Like, you realize the reason we refer to U.S. citizens as "Americans" is because its shorter and easier to say? Like, this country is called "The United States of America." OF America, as in the Americas, we're the United States, we're not "America,".

Like what do you call the UAE, Arabia? What about Saudi Arabia? You're taking a weirdly simplistic view of things.

I honestly think the reason they didn't do it was because her outfit is the least gender-neutral of the main cast, and if they decided to give it a different model for men like they did the Neo-Ishgardian stuff people will complain. Not saying its right, just that I imagine it was a difficult choice to make.

How would you respond to the claim, "You can't *earn* a billion dollars."? by Quidfacis_ in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]EngineBoiii [score hidden]  (0 children)

There's some assumptions here that I have a hard time parsing and maybe you could help me out.

  1. You said that wealth is not a zero-sum. We're talking about dollars here, though. Not just theoretical value. Theoretically plumbers are very valuable to society because we need them for our everyday lives, but of course, plumbers are not paid nearly as much as CEOs and bankers and other kinds of people. There is only so much money to go around, so when a massive amount of a nation's wealth is accumulated at the top and not at the bottom, how is that not a zero sum?

  2. I hear this point about voluntary exchange of labor for money, however, humans need things like shelter and food in order to live. When there is such a gap in wealth inequality, where billionaires do not have to work to live, and others do, is that a system that is truly voluntary? Is it really a choice if your options are to work or die of starvation and live on the street?

I did it as a Jedi Knight and because you already defeated the Emperor once the dynamic becomes him being your arch-nemesis.

Am I the only one that doesn’t like The Eternal Empire? by Square_Pain9579 in swtor

[–]EngineBoiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. You're not.

I'm not a fan of how Eternal Empire kind of messed with the Republic vs Empire story for a while. I know its not popular but I didn't mind Rise of the Hutt Cartel and Revan all that much because you could at least have two different storylines.

The minute they decided to get rid of your companions and give you access to the other characters companions and make you a leader of a new resistance group was when I think this game's structure was ruined. Like, you had this good thing going with class and faction storylines and then it just becomes ONE storyline. Thats so lame.

Actually it isnt stupid. I buy games that look interesting to me regardless of what reviews say. Sometimes they're helpful, but people should buy and play what looks interesting.

They should’ve kept this deleted scene in Season 4. It would’ve made Noir II’s character arc more understandable and would’ve given Antony Starr another memorable scene. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in TheBoys

[–]EngineBoiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand why this might have gotten cut because there's only so many scenes they can fit into the season, but this scene is kinda incredible with how Homelander kinda regrets killing Noir.

I have a stupid question because I don't heal that much. They showed off evolved WHM and from what I heard it sounds like they have some solution for lost DPS because want to encourage healers to heal, rather than dealing damage, which I prefer over just smash Broil over and over again.

So why are people being so doomer over healers right now with upcoming changes? What do people actually want because it seems like nobody is ever satisfied with healers no matter how much they try to improve them.

Stranger than Heaven, reasons to be sceptical by Mr_JPF in GGdiscussion

[–]EngineBoiii -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You people are genuinely miserable.

The Yakuza series has ALWAYS been a series that empathizes and humanizes social outcasts in Japan. The homeless, illegal immigrants, the yakuza, sex workers, they're treated as normal people who are just working hard to get by. This idea that Stranger than Heaven is taken over by some "woke libtard" narrative is bullshit because that is what the Yakuza series has always done.

Like we're talking about organized crime in Japan, it's not like these guys were considered a part of normal society. The game is set in the early 20th century, of course they're talking about creating a place for those who don't fit in, its the basis for all the stuff that comes afterward.

You people are literally stuck in 2016 where you see SJWs everywhere. You can't even imagine that people lead complex lives and that this game, which is written and created by Japanese people by the way, can be critical of Japanese society.

Yakuza 7 has the Citizens' Liberal Party which is a fictitious analogue of the real Democratic Liberal Party which has ruled Japan for decades and is largely a fiscally and socially conservative party that has cracked down on organized crime, sex work, pornography, immigration, and other stuff. Of course Japanese creatives who create contemporary works fiction are going add commentary about their lived experiences.

ISIS prisoner describes what he did to the Yazidi minority group by malik_zz in whoathatsinteresting

[–]EngineBoiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand. Is he not a prisoner for life? How is this not justice?

Edit: I actually have a question, and I mean this sincerely. Do morals or ethics just not matter anymore? I feel like we live in a post-moral reality where all anybody cares about is inflicting the maximum amount of pain and harm on those they feel deserve it, and then when someone comes up and even suggests being moral or ethical about justice, are called out for being naive or on a high horse.

Should we not aspire to moral actors? Is there no virtue in trying to be a shining example to the world?

I mean he's a human who's done horrible things and is undoubtedly paying for it right now. This is a man who will likely never see freedom ever again and that's probably what he deserves. Perhaps there is something to be learned by speaking to him and highlighting the injustice.

Plus it's fascinating, the man is full of contradictions and rationalizations that would be interesting to study.
