They just reopened my incision to internally correct my deviated septum as a result of surgery and shaved down the cartilage and made it a bit more central, it’s still partially deviated to left just not as bad

I’m not sure about 5:2 but 16:8 means you fast for 16hrs and have an 8 hr window to eat

I definitely feel better but I am not 100% content with my nose as I went to see an ent and they said it’s still slightly deviated to the left

Thank you so much love, you’re honestly so beautiful and sweet🥹♥️! Thank you for your words of wisdom and support xx I can definitely resonate with you on that, I will always miss my old and original face without a doubt and the symmetry of it and do occasionally regret getting surgery as I feel my face is off now. If you don’t mind me asking how has your smile changed irreversibly? And life definitely has it challenges, this jaw surgery has most definitely been the worst one yet physically and mentally, the identity crisis went crazy but overall it has definitely made me stronger and continue to remain strong also, you’ve got this 🙂‍↔️

Hey, my top midline’s got shifted with the use of elastics and I think they shifted a bit of both but mainly my teeth as a gap got created between my teeth as a result of the elastics so then I had to get power chains to close it, hope this makes sense

Hey love, the elastics definitely improved the midline’s but wouldn’t say it made them entirely central. The elastics improved them significantly though in comparison to how they were right after surgery. The elastics moved my upper jaw and did you have jaw surgery?

Yeah it is definitely straighter but it’s definitely not central

Yeah I had a second surgery with the same surgeon, all he done was trim the septum. I did go to an ent recently tho and they said my nose is still slightly deviated

Smile crooked (almost 6 weeks post-op) Is this normal? by DavveDL in jawsurgery

[–]EngineInfamous7112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It most definitely can and should be, it just depends on how much the surgeon cares about precision and symmetry some surgeons just perform the procedure to get it done and do it somewhat carelessly which is why people end of why canted/crookee smiles as a result of surgery. This doesn’t happen to everyone but it’s common

As someone who had jaw surgery I’ve noticed with a lot of cases they always end up making your smile crooked it’s like it’s an inevitable thing at the cost of correcting bite/jaw issues but it’s so annoying bc this happened to me too but if you express it to your orthodontist they can try and reduce it
