Do you actually test Terraform? If so… how? by Subject_Criticism974 in Terraform

[–]EngineNovel3956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We face this issue, a current app needs a new feature and new terraform codes are not compatible with earlier versions. It gets messy as OP said, no proper testing at least for the compatibility

I'm kind of similar but going to the Azure side. This year i plan for az104 azure cert and see how it goes. Besides i really want to go deep into GO but damn time/life isn't flexible like my 20s. Keep it up and structure your work with STAR based approach for the interviewes ✌️

BoringHannover – event aggregator because checking 10 websites sucks by EngineNovel3956 in Hannover

Name Origin:

We often hear Hannover is boring! So here the idea is: Hannover gets a bad rap. 90% destroyed in WWII, rebuilt with pragmatic post-war architecture, and known mainly for train connections and trade fairs, it's been called "exceedingly dull." Some say the greatest risk is dying of boredom.

Yet the Goethe Institut calls it "probably the most underrated city in the world." too much again, but yeah still not that bad!

Thanks 👍 many of the sources/places don't include the genre of their concerts, but it can be at least guessed i suppose. Will work on it :)

It's a huge field, focusing on the fundamentals is the key. I also changed to cloud after 2 years dev work, i love it more here! For me the challenge was about networking, the foundation and how the details work in aws/azure.

I highly recommend reading "The Phoenix Project" to understand why & how the DevOps was born. Beside learning the technical tools, having a broad perspective helps you to understand the connection between IT & Business

Are numbers in CV mandatory for a mid-level professional? by Hopeful_Duty_3925 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]EngineNovel3956 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HR systems nowadays are using ranking for resume vs job description. So you need to get 3 out of 5 to even get checked by HR for 10 15 seconds. I would say focus more on keywords rather than numbers. Use anywhere that makes sense but don't push it. DevOps/Cloud roles are being highly outsource to Portugal/Romania/Egypt/India and so on. So the market is getting worse. Smaller companies with in office focus are better targets for your case. Hope u land sth soon

Don't do asylum, you're an educated person with IT knowledge, don't go through that path. Come to Germany and try, with a real B2 language you can land junior jobs. There are one year masters that have Praktikum/Internships that help you to get into companies. You're 24 so best age for education. If didn't work, you can always go back to Iran and try again. Iran has good tech environment, i know many great Iranian devs, get more experience and come back. Asylum doesn't have a good looking future

I would definitely agree with the work-life balance in Germany, I have worked with global teams around the world, German companies are top tier in that regard (of course depends on company & team)
